Quote of the Day 9-17-10
MO is mucking up the guilt-free abortion works by making it mandatory for providers to inform women that the children they plan to dispose of are, in fact, alive.
It is now legal to impose the burden of truth on Missourians trying to attain simple, guilt-free, morally relativistic abortions.
… [I]t’s a lot easier to end a life if you believe the target of a saline, scalpel or suction procedure isn’t actually alive.
~Jeannie DeAngelis, American Thinker, September 16

Oh I could already hear the prochoice folks in the distance saying “this is will only burden the woman more as she makes a very difficult decision”
This is great. The more information is given, the more informed the decision will be.
Why do they keep saying “life begins at conception” is a religious point of view? It isn’t. It’s a scientific, logical fact. Period. ARGH, pro-aborts have zero logic. Zero. Of course, they love the “Catholics for Choice” ….and tolerate their religious points of view, right? Grrrrrr.
“Why do they keep saying “life begins at conception” is a religious point of view?”
Because the belief that “the belief that life begins at conception is a religious point of view” is itself a religious point of view. They need true be true to their faith in abortion and not let a silly thing like science stand in the way.
You mean “Fake Catholics who think churches are only supposed to be pretty and not give you any moral guidance because your own judgement is better than God’s for Choice”? Oh, them.
I wish I had even seen this photo before my doctor sentenced my unborn child to death. My own doctor lied to me about state laws and fetal development. If I’d been told the plain truth, I would have certainly gone on with the pregnancy. I’m sure my child could have been welcomed into another family’s home. It may not have been a perfect life, but it would have been a good chance. Those who adopt are my heroes!
The laws that serve to inform women will not only protect their unborn children, but also the women themselves. Abortion hurts women. Seeing the ultrasound, or even an ultrasound of another baby at the same age is totally the right thing to do. Kids should be taught the biological facts of life about conception and fetal development. It’s how we all started out. Fetal development is wondrous and awesome to behold. Even an atheist can see that.
Amen, ninek. Amen. I would have continued my pregnancy as well.
Of course they have to believe that the tiny little life isn’t alive….but if it is not alive why does someone have to go in with a vacuum and kill it???
Well, most pro-aborts concede that it is a life, but not a human being. As if a human being can be anything BUT a human being at any point; as if there is a magical point where you suddenly become a human being. The fact that they expend so much energy trying to dehumanize an entire class of human beings, the amount of lies and obfuscation that goes into justification of their killing…..It must be exhausting, frankly. I am really amazed that they continue to argue with science.
Why do they keep saying “life begins at conception” is a religious point of view?
Because by doing so, they think they can write it off as “philosophical” and a matter of personal preference/opinion. It isn’t.
I often tell my son that just because he repeats a lie several times doesn’t make it magically true. I think pro-aborts could stand to learn that lesson as well.
The “life begins at conception is a Christian religious point-of-view” runs into some other problems, too. How many, many times have I had “clever” abortion apologists tell me “But abortion isn’t mentioned in the Bible!” Which is true. It’s not. That being the case, life beginning at conception couldn’t possibly be a Christian religious point-of-view. Abortion isn’t in the Bible!
My kingdom for some consistency!
I can’t stand the whole “abortion isn’t mentioned in the Bible” argument, Keli Hu–I agree with you on how inconsistent the argument is. I mean it’s like okay, so unless it’s in the Bible printed up it doesn’t matter? “Thou shalt not kill” is in the Bible, and abortion is kiilling.
You know it’s occurred me. Let’s all tell people “Well, not wearing white after Labor Day isn’t in the Bible, yet there’s people who honestly think it’s some form of faux pas or fashion “sin” to wear white after Labor Day!”
Or, it’s considered a no-no to wear socks with sandals, but that’s not in the Bible, either.
I could go on, but I think people get the point.
