So what was the major mistake the “pro-life” crew made here? They hurt a bunch of babies in the process.
There were none in the clinic at the time the molotov cocktail was hurled through the window….
But… guess what goes on at PP clinics?
Oooh, oooh, if you guess planning for parenthood, pat yourself on the back! You figured out what a bunch of short-sighted hypocrites couldn’t.
For women across America who can’t afford other options, PP is not just a source for abortion support. It’s a source for prenatal care.
… Not to mention it’s also a clinic that offers birth control options for women – which prevents the very abortions the protesters are all up in arms about.
So to prevent a few abortions, the protesters take away a woman’s only source for prenatal care….
So, who’s hurting babies here?

Wow, it is amazing how deceived a person can be!
I followed the links to an news article about the incident. Flimsy journalism by Tommy Tran who doesn’t see fit to back up this in his article about the incident: “Staff members do perform early term medication abortions, but we’re told those procedures make up less than one percent of the services offered there.”
Oh, “we’re told” Tommy? Yes, and we’re also told that babies are a clump of cells, don’t have heartbeats or limbs, and we’re told about all this prenatal care yet PP’s OWN statistics show that less than one percent of babies survive a visit to Planned Parenthood. Less than one percent! 99% of the pregnant women who enter PP leave without their babies. And that’s the fact, jack. And the group that ‘claims responsibility’? Could they be more obscure and marginal? PP and everyone else knows darn well that most pro-lifers are peace loving, gentle people. But the peaceful masses don’t make good blogosphere copy.
Thank God for Lila Rose and her investigations. PP can lie, but the facts remain.
I don’t recall ever seeing anything where PP recommended NFP which doesn’t use any artificial hormones, so I guess it’s not doing EVERYTHING it can to prevent abortion–there’s one lie right there.
Not every pro-lifer and protester condones firebombs or any kind of bombs or violence. This article would insinuate that’s how we all operate. Another lie.
Less than 1 percent? Is that just THAT clinic or every PP clinic? That’s a question that remains unanswered at any given time. Bet they wouldn’t even show you or give accurate information–they’ve been known to “doctor” their records (at least PP as a whole has). So a possible 3rd lie there.
They act like abortion doesn’t kill babies. 3rd or 4th lie there.
PP is NOT a poor woman’s ONLY source for prenatal care. I know there’s other places out there that offer affordable healthcare. so there’s yet ANOTHER lie.

The county where I live has a county-run clinic that offers free or low cost prenatal care. They don’t offer murder for hire on the premises, but unfortunately will refer to a pharmacy for a chemical murder. If a woman wants to bring her healthy pregnancy to term, she can go there and at least she’ll walk out the door with her baby intact. There are also two CPC’s within easy driving distance and they’re both near buses. The PP’s are similar distance, so it’s equally as easy to keep or to kill. Poor women do have options, but not if PP is their first stop.
In Philadelphia we have city health centers that provide contraception on a sliding fee scale to women, so PP isn’t the only option, at least here.

No, it’s not. The vast, vast majority of PP’s offer absolutely NO prenatal care.
Things are different here in Canada. Prenatal and postnatal care, midwives, OB/GYNs, hospital birth, etc. are all completely covered by universal health care (OHIP). There are Planned Parenthoods everywhere. They can’t make the same claims about poor women not being able to afford prenatal care, since it’s free here. While I think universal health care is wonderful in so many ways and I’m very thankful for it, on the downside – abortion is completely free here. You can even buy Plan B at Wal-Mart. :/
Hi Bekah. I have a friend whose brother and sister-in-law had twins while in Canada, prematurely.
Those baby girls struggled and struggled for MONTHS before they were able to go home, and they were told that if they had them in the US, they would have likely been off the ventilators and home much sooner. But Canada apparently doesn’t give lung surfactant to preemies of a certain age. Is that correct? Do you know?
So much for the superiority of universal health care. I watched that family struggle NEEDLESSLY over something that would have been not nearly as daunting if they’d had those girls here in the States. Very sad.

I’m not sure about surfactant. :/ I realize Canada has been criticized by some as being behind in the latest medicine compared to the United States overall; however, our Infant Mortality rate is significantly lower than the United States, which is interesting, considering. For example, in 2007, in Canada, the rate was 4.6 deaths per 1,000 live births, while the rate for the U.S. in the same year was 6.4 per 1,000 live births! :/ I can’t help but wonder if free health care for poor women and minorities decreases the amount of stillbirth and miscarriage that might otherwise occur in the U.S. with poor women who do not have financial access to adequate prenatal care.
Canada is also much more accepting and encouraging of midwives (compared to the states), which studies have proven to decrease the amount of medical interventions and c-sections; so that too might be a contributing factor to a lower infant mortality rate.
While I can’t speak for medicine as a whole, I do think Canada is providing better care and access for its pregnant women and mothers than the U.S. is. We even have paid maternity leave (as a standard!) and child tax benefits, which greatly assists our lower class mothers; especially single mothers.

Canada does NOT have tens of thousands of pregnant women crossing their souther border illegally each year in hopes of birthing an anchor baby.
Most of these pregnant women come from Latin American countries that offer no ‘free prenatal care’ and most of these women are too poor to pay for prenatal care themselves.
Canadian citizens per capita share of their national debt is much higher than the United States and Canadian citizens per capita share for the military is much lower than the USA, because they only depend on their neighbor to the south to protect them from other hostile countries.
Canadian citizens per capita share of social programs is much higher than Americans and both the availability and the quality of care is lower.
Canadian citizens total taxes are much higher than U.S. citizens.
Canada is a socialist experiment gone bad.
Canadians enjoy less freedom than Americans.

How do you know that? Is there a link providing that info somewhere? I don’t know how to verify if this is true or not.

What we do have is illegal children being scooted over the border in high numbers at Niagra Falls. These children are then placed in our foster care system. Our foster care system, which is funded by our taxes, is becoming overburdened by illegal children – there are a disproportionate amount of children in the system versus working adults paying for the system. :/
