Quote of the Day 11-9-10
Personally, I blame the churches that run these [pregnancy resource] centers for the rise in unwed motherhood, because they successfully lure unwed teens and others into having children they are unprepared for or incapable of caring for.
~Pro-abort columnist Bonnie Erbe, PoliticsDaily, November 8

Yes, always blame the church. Not PP our our sex drenched culture for promoting promiscuity!! Sex can sometimes lead to BABIES!! gasp
My first thought: Do these people actually listen to what they are saying?
Second: Actually, yes, if you are looking at unwed pregnancies and divide them into women who abort and women who carry to term. Then yes, pregnancy resource centers are behind the rise of unwed “motherhood”, and proud of it! Especially if it means lowering the rate of unwed abortions.
I’ve never heard any of these arguments for abortion before. Great insight by Erbe. NOT
Uh, aren’t these young women making the CHOICE to have their babies?
I guess we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t!
Erbe thinks that tweeting ihadanabortion is the technological equivalent of the ultrasound.
::scratches head::
So the alternative is to kill the children – right Bonnie?
It’s nice to know we’re being successful. In fact Bonnie, one day soon, all the children that are being saved from destruction are going to demand that the culture of death – be killed.
BTW – Those same churches that are “luring” the unwed mothers into keeping their children – they also desire committed relationships which look for marriage first, then children, but we’re mature enough, and understanding enough to know that adversity builds character, and true love shows mercy and grace.
Get well soon Bonnie.
Carla – Erbe is trolling for readership.
If she genuinely thinks a teen reading twitter will be influenced by a hash-tag, she’s clueless.
Listen to the music the kids are making:

Is there something wrong with unwed mothers? Why not say unwed parents? Women don’t make babies alone, you know. Geez…
And perhaps we need to take the stigma off of unwed mothers and fathers. And place the stigma on people who wish to limit them. I agree that we should lower the rate of teen pregnancy, but refusing to give pregnant teenagers other options aside from abortions is nothing short of slut-shaming (and yes, girls are usually the shamed ones).
Is it easier to Twitter “I had an abortion” than it is to wear the “I had an abortion” t-shirt?
Quote: “Well, typing #ihadanabortion into a cellphone could be the abortion-rights’ movement’s technological answer to the sonogram. By showing especially young women and teenagers that abortions are common, widespread and have improved the lives of many women, the hashtag meme acts as a technological counterpoint to the imagery brought home by a sonogram.”
Abortion’s answer to the sonogram?
Counterpoint?
Gosh, could you be more obvious in your disregard for human life and more obvious in your disdain for teen mothers? Could you spell it out more clearly that you don’t want women to be informed because (gasp) they might love their babies instead of wanting to kill them?!
I proudly agree, YES, many churches can take CREDIT for helping young women carry their babies to term and in many cases, raise them. But let’s not forget, many people who contribute to CPC’s are not religious and our secular friends in the pro-life movement are a valued part of the whole. I trust they will accept their share of the ‘blame’ as proudly as the rest of us.
Well who is to blame for the rise in teen STD’s and STI’s then?
I guess we’re to blame for the rise in teen moms with toddlers too. If only they’d have exercised their choice for infanticide! Curbing sexual behavior in teens isn’t the answer, killing their children is! Yes Bonnie…. for an old lady you sure haven’t earned any wisdom.
First it’s, “You don’t do enough to help women keep their babies!”
Then it’s, “Ohmigosh, you’re trying to talk women into keeping their babies!”
And now it’s, “AUGH! You’re being successful in helping women to keep their babies!!!”
I’m going to go sit over here and laugh until I cry.
It’s clear that so called women like Bonnie Erbe want to make sure that women not only could have abortions, but women should have them. And who is she to judge who is capable of bearing a child and who is not? Does Bonnie want to set up a coliseum, so she can thumbs up or thumbs down the teen mothers she deems incapable? Many pro-aborts have the belief in “your body, MY choice.”
What a repellant woman! Are we still paying for her PBS show “To th Contrary”? I stopped watching that decades ago. One Mona Charen vs. three Erbe clones is unbearabe. I’d remind myself of some of her past outrages by searching at newsbusters.org but I don’t want to get my mouse dirty.
Carla, that “scratches head” symbolism is new to me. I hope it doesn’t represent dandruff flakes! :)

I know, right, Keli?! Let’s face it, until we decide to turn a blind eye to what abortion actually IS and DOES, and lend approval to this “simple, safe, surgical procedure” they won’t be happy with us.
Hans,
No flakes. Except for Erbe.
Scratching my head doesn’t hurt as much as banging my head against my desk.
The horror! It would be so much better if all of these young women instead lived with the knowledge that they had killed their own child for the rest of their lives. That would be much better! Curse those CPC’s!
Beautiful pic, Lauren. Is that your baby?
Meh, I wish that this Erbe woman would get on her broom and just fly off into the sunset with Pelosi.
Anyway, remember when I asked for prayer for my daughter? She got the job with Teach for America! She is going to be teaching underprivilged children in New Orleans next year. Hurrah!
On another note, my sister lost her job, so please pray that she will find another one soon.
Thank you!
…because they successfully lure unwed teens and others into having children …
Yes, they even provide the beds to make it more convenient.
“Many pro-aborts have the belief in “your body, MY choice.””
That’s just projection on your part. You want to make abortion illegal and therefore remove that choice. The counterpart, coming from the other side of the issue, would be forcibly making women abort, which is not a position I’ve seen anyone take.
Forcing women and young girls to abort happens everyday in this country. I just tried to help an 18 year old who did NOT want an abortion. He father forced her. The forced abortion happened and this girl is devastated.
Your side is eerily SILENT on forced abortions. Why is that, Joanie?
dear Bonnie: its the men that abandon the women and tell them to “Deal with it” or “get rid of it” that are the cause of the unwed motherhood (rapists excluded). They are the ones that don’t take responsibility for their part in the creation of this child that made the woman A MOTHER BEFORE BIRTH. If young men were taught to treat women with the utmost of respect, starting with their own mothers and sisters, then these women who are desperate and alone would never seek abortion. The man who is the father would take responsibility and be like Joseph, taking care of the woman no matter what,
Not all Crisis Pregnancy Centers are Christian led organizations. I believe that BirthRight is secular.
That’s like saying, ‘And I blame the Allied Powers of World War II, specifically the Americans, English, and Russians for the rise in world Jewry in the years after the war for liberating the camps.’
Yes, wen we encourage unwed mothers to keep their babies then, de facto, there is a rise in unwed motherhood. Right?
Wrong.
Women become mothers when they get pregnant, not when they deliver. So PRC’s do not increase unwed motherhood. They increase the number of women who are mothers of living babies, and decrease the number of women who are mothers of dead babies.

I have. You did. A sixteen year old girl was dragged, by her mother, into an abortion clinic by her hair and the staff were instructed to give her an abortion, even though it was clearly against her will. A clinic worker had to call the police to get this girl’s mother to back off. You justified the mother’s attempt to force her daughter to abort for economic reasons–of all things–and attempted to claim that the group who came forward to defend this girl against her parents’ abuse was wrong to do so.
You obviously have no problem with “forcibly making women abort.”
the Birthright(which became BirthChoice) for which my mother and I volunteered was run and staffed by mostly Catholics. I believe it is a “Catholic” organization, but they help women of all/no denominations/faiths as well.
Keli Hu,
Bless you!! I had totally forgotten about that thread and Joan saying that the mother had every right to force her daughter to abort!!
“Forcing women and young girls to abort happens everyday in this country. I just tried to help an 18 year old who did NOT want an abortion. He father forced her. The forced abortion happened and this girl is devastated.

You’re comparing two different things. Your movement seeks to use government sanction to prevent abortion. You’re comparing that to a situation where a private citizen attempts to coerce another private citizen into having an abortion. The one and only appropriate analogue to the position taken by the “pro-life” people here would be the government forcing women to have abortions.
What is your personal opinion on forced abortion Joanie??
Joan’s blindness is evident here, again.
The right to life is a fundamental human right that was unlawfully usurped by the Supreme Court in 1973 and the decision handed to women. The compulsion and coercion have been exerted on over 52 million humans who had no say in the termination of their unfolding developmental processes.
The government is forcing human beings (recognized as such in major embryology texts) to accept the whim of another regarding the termination of their very lives.
Government sanction is meant to preserve the unalienable human rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of one’s happiness, as that is what Jefferson and the Founders declared the entire function and purpose of government to be.
I believe joan is also the commenter who believes women in China had it comin’ if they broke the rules, became pregnant and were forcibly aborted by government agents (or other thugs).
Erbe’s statement represents the twisted ”logic” of someone who thinks good is evil and evil is good.
I pray her eyes will be opened to the truth.
The PRCs I run aren’t part of, or run by a church, so I guess she can’t be talking about us ;o)

endquote.
Joan also supported China’s forced abortions on another thread. She said that the woman deserved what she got because she knew the law.
So that makes her a supporter of murder and a liar.
