I agree this is amazing footage of yet another one of God’s creatures being born.
Question – the clear “plastic baggie” that Baby came out of – is that the placenta? It doesn’t resemble a woman’s placenta so I’m curious.

That would be the amniotic sac.
I’m amazed this giraffe gave birth to a giraffe. I mean, we aren’t certain that human women are pregnant with humans, some say they are not, so I wondered if this uncertainty applies to the animal kingdom as well.

Wonder why nobody claps when she is born but they clap when she stands?

I think it’s because of the way Baby fell out. I first thought Baby hurt his/her neck and for a little while there was no movement. Then Baby eventually started to move (after God’s church bells rang nearby and Mom helped to remove some of that constricting sac). Then at last Baby arose - his/her first achievement!
This was an awesome video. I believe the reason they cheered when she stood up is because in the wild a baby Giraffe’s biggest task is to stand up almost instantly. If the baby does not stand up the herd will leave it behind to be eaten by predators. This is how it is with water buffalo’s and gazelles. Their herds have to keep moving for food an safety and the mother will leave the new born behind if it cannot keep up because if she stays they could both get killed and if she goes she can make another baby later that will be stronger. A weak baby would not be able to keep up and would get picked off anyway. So, standing is critical for a new born.

You are correct. I looked online and other predators would love to feast on this little giraffe so standing and walking quickly out of the womb is essential.

Amazing how God programs these nurturing skills into mothers. Even though this giraffe had no fear of predators in the zoo, she still knew instinctively to encourage her baby to stand and walk only seconds after birth.
This has nothing to do with God in my opinion. It is the very definition of evolution. The baby born to weak to keep up with the herd is killed and does not get to reproduce. Only babies born strong enough will live long enough to reproduce and pass on their strong genes, over and over it goes on. This is also how they got such long necks as the only untapped food source was the leaves much higher on the tree than any other animal could reach. The giraffes born with necks longer than the rest were the one who survived long enough to reproduce and pass on the long neck gene.
Some people think that this is not a process that disproves god but rather one of god secrets he has seen fit to share with us as a sign of his greatness or how far we have come in his image. No matter what you believe it is pretty hard for an educated person to dismiss evolution.
