saw this on the local news the other day. she must have been very fit. i could hardly breathe at the end of my last pregnancy. i hit 210 pounds but im also 5 foot 11. no way could i run!
5’11? heather, you lucky lady! I’m only 5’1 ;)
Amazing story!
haha pamela…thats what happens when your dad is 6 foot 4! i had always wished i was shorter though. i cant wear heels without feeling 8 feet tall and heaven forbid i shrink something in the dryer!
What was her time?
Amazing. I remember also at the end of my pregnancy that I was walking daily – but in no way would I entertain running, let alone running a marathon! Way to go! Kudos to her!! ;)
I dunno… I’m kinda on the side of those who said this was a bit risky. It’s one thing to be fit, but this seems to be giving in to an obsession. Would it hurt her to wait till after delivery to run a marathon?
Then again, I’m a little biased. I only run when being chased by a lion.
Okay, fire away, if you must! But I mean no disrespect. I’m just a slightly concerned bystander. :)
I’m with you Hans.
Of course, to participate in the Marathon means she’s been training all along so it wasn’t just this 13.1 mile run followed by a 13.1 mile walk on Marathon day.
Hippie, the tiny blurb under the picture in the article states Amber finished in 6 hours 25 minutes.

I’ve been a mom. And I’ve been a marathoner. But never at the same time! I’m in awe!
