Lunch Break: The Oscars
by LauraLoo
I was thrilled that The Artist won so many awards during last night’s Oscars! Here is Best Leading Actor Jean Dujardin during his acceptance speech, filled with history and so much emotion…
Here’s Jean’s dapper-looking sidekick Uggie, in couture bow-tie, giving his red-carpet interview…
Finally, were you happy or disappointed that Meryl Streep won her third Oscar? I didn’t see The Iron Lady, but all I kept hearing was how Viola Davis was the shoo-in for that award so I was absolutely shocked when Meryl won.

Angelina Jolie’s arms looked so skinny…. Girl, gain some weight!
Sarah’s Key was by far the most phenomenal film of the year, and it went by without a whisper–because it has a strong pro-life message, set against the backdrop of the 1940′s genocide against the Jewish people.
I guess old Harvey Wienstien couldn’t resist making the movie with oscar winner Kristen Scott Thomas-the brilliant script has massive appeal. But it unveils the petty bourgoise nature of the modern mainstream media’s eagerness to lambast conservatives, while compleately ignoring the insane mutilation of the pre-born, and all the pressures that proceed such a grisly inhumane treatment of the human being, that would become a living viable girl or boy without the pressure of friends and boyfriends and sisters and brothers who pressure the pregnant to abort.
“Sarah’s Key” portrays this beautifully. Please see the film! Unfortunately with Harvey gunning for the legalization of Homosexual Nuptials there is no way he would push Sara’s Key into the spotlight. Designer lifestyles would be threatened by the films austerity and truth, so those pushing birth control, and homosexual acts are threatened by this one-and Nazi’s wouldn’t like it either.. (nor Margaret Sanger’s neo femi-nazi’s of today)
Bret McKenzie won!!! YAY!
It would have been nice if Meryl Streep had thanked Margaret Thatcher for leading such an inspiring, interesting life, if for nothing else.
After all, she did not dismantle the social welfare state, and she rose above the “good ole boys” in her political career. You’d think they’d almost be kindred spirits.
But no, Thatcher was known as a conservative, and stood up to the Soviets, so it’s best not to really mention her accomplishments among the wine and cheese crowd at the Oscars.
Who cares. A bunch of millionare pro-abort liberals congratulating each other on who can be the most politically correct.
Some of ‘em have dang skinny arms too.
Angelina looked like one of those starving refugees that she likes to visit during her international humanitarian outreaches. She needs 20 lbs. pronto, for starters. LL
Laura Loo, that’s exactly what I thought when she came out. “Slim and trim” is one thing, but can she really want to look like that?
I could give Angie a few pounds, if she’s so inclined….
Or maybe Jasper will buy her a couple dozen cheeseburgers.
Sure, I’ll buy her a cheeseburger, she surely needs it more than I do
Cool, Jasper, I’ll kick in a super-sized milkshake with a sprig of watercress on top, just to maintain appearances.
didnt watch. i got a hug and smootch from angies ex billy bob thortan. he needs a few burgers too. anyone seen him these days? skinny! and yeah angie has awful arms but i like her better than aniston! i do not care for Pitt though. never did. i will through in some apple pie for her though;)
i know angelina and pitt are libs and thats why angie and her father john voight fight. that and he cheated on her mom. i can understand the anger there…but didnt she turn around and do it to aniston? anyway they are all liberals and libs arent loyal. i remember aniston was estranged from her mom and pitt tried to help them reconcile. he also jumped in to help angie and her dad reconcile. that worked but aniston and her mom fell out again.
oops typo above…throw
Now we have a comparison of the legs – Aniston v. Jolie. Aniston for sure!
i still find angelina much prettier. anistion just doesnt have the ” wow” factor at all.
LL: Aniston for sure!

Word.
Don’t get me wrong – Angelina is still darn good-looking. I much prefer her back in 1998 when she did ‘Gia,” though. Of course, we all get older….
What’s “word” Doug? I’m clueless. LL
Laura, “word” is an affirmation. Going from “I mos’ def’ agree” to “it’s the definitive correct answer,” and probably a bunch of other things that perhaps “the younger generation” understands, at this point, while I do not.
But I’d never say you’re “clueless.” You’re really quite sweet.
Doug’s a hep cat. I think “word” is short for “word to your mother” because we all know we wouldn’t lie to her.
Thanks Doug!
I like you too. LL
From the Urban Dictionary: “Word” is the shortened form of the phrase: “my word is my bond” which was originated by inmates in U.S. prisons. The longer phrase was shortened to “word is bond” before becoming “word,” which is most commonly used. It basically means “truth.” Or “to speak the truth.”
You stick your right leg out! Angelina Jolie’s attention-seeking Oscar pose goes viral

You stick your left leg back, you do the hokey-pokey and you turn yourself around!
