Pro-life vid of the day: U.N. disabilities treaty vs. parental rights
by Hans Johnson
Who could disagree with ensuring rights for the disabled worldwide? Many do have concerns about the U.N.’s Convention On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The U.S. Senate is set to debate the CRPD today.
Homeschoolers as well as parents of disabled children warn of U.N. control over national and family sovereignty on how best to care for and educate their children. Among them is former Senator Rick Santorum in this press conference from last week:

I think you have to cut and paste the whole link to see the article.
There is the man that should’ve been President.

Vote Held. Good work
It always seems the most problematic legislation is attempted during a lame duck Congress or a middle of the night rush like Obamacare.
I hear santorum is contemplating 2016. A santorum/bachmann ticket pleeeaase!
The Senate’s failure to ratify the treaty, simply because they couldn’t get enough Republican votes, totally disgraced the Republican Party’s senior leadership. After all, Bob Dole appeared on the Senate floor in his wheelchair urging that the treaty be ratified. It would’ve been a testament to the good work done by Bush I and Bob Dole.
You people are amazing. Mention “UN” and you go off like dogs being thrown red meat.
I’ll bet you stand outside your homes at night watching for black helicopters.
It’s disgusting.
The New World Order not coming fast enough for you, mp?
The New World Order not coming fast enough for you, mp?
Hans, you’re disingenuous at best; the little stunt you pulled trying connect the Oregon Health Plan with “death panels” is just one example.
You really might have tried reading the actual treaty, which was totally non-binding.
Finally, I’m old enough now to remember crackpots talking about the “New World Order” for the last 50–count ’em–50 years and have yet to see UN soldiers roaming America’s streets or black helicopters.
You’re destroying the Republican Party with this kind of crap. Grow up.
