Today Show host grills Justin Bieber’s mom for backing “anti-abortion” film

Pattie MalletteGuthrie: It’s a movie with a decidedly pro-life/anti-abortion purpose. But [do] you feel like people, as I understand it, are getting the wrong message about what you are trying to say by your participation?

Mallette: Yeah, I don’t feel that it is a pro-life message. I mean, people are going to get from it what they want to. It’s s a true story, it’s a historical piece. And the reason I wanted to get involved with this film was because, you know, I lived in a pregnancy home my whole pregnancy with Justin, and so this is going to be used as a tool to raise money for pregnancy centers. So regardless of your stance, pro-life, you know, or whatever it is, I just think that anybody would want to help girls in need if they need a place to stay.

Pro-life tweet mob shuts down Planned Parenthood PR stunt

I’ve mentioned before that it is helpful to conduct recognizance on the other side’s social networks. You can learn interesting information. Last Tuesday morning Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas posted this notice on its Facebook page:

2013-02-07_1418

Texan pro-lifer Andy Moore spotted the notice and immediately began contacting friends. A coalition quickly formed, including (among others) Bryan Kemper, Students for Life of America, and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.

When 3p came, pro-lifers were ready, totally overwhelming a Twitter conversation Planned Parenthood had intended to pressure the State of Texas into reinstating funding to one about Planned Parenthood itself. Afterward Bryan reported:

Pro-life news brief 2-7-13

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat

  • Slate’s William Saletan (a pro-choice writer) argues pro-lifers get legislation passed because they care more than pro-choicers:

To cancel out that advantage, pro-choicers have to raise the intensity level. When the percentage of respondents who call abortion critical, very important, or a deal-breaker rises toward 30 percent or more, the balance of power begins to shift.Think about that when you see pro-lifers winning elections, passing laws, and marching in the cold. They don’t win because they’re a majority. They win because they care enough to fight.

Pro-life video of the day: Where have all the babies gone?

by Hans Johnson Population demographics have been a concern in Europe and Japan for decades. But now the U.S. is seeing declining birthrates as well. From the Contra Costa Times: The number of California babies born each year began dropping steadily in 2007, according to state public health records, but the birthrate began slowing years […]

Real reason abortion providers oppose ultrasounds: 78% change minds

In Planned Parenthood’s world, allowing a woman to see an image of her baby on the ultrasound screen is a “dangerous agenda.” Many women who have abortions do not know the truth about fetal development…. The language of abortion counselors is often crafted carefully to avoid any reference to the baby. Even the term “fetus” […]

“I’m a millionaire because I had an abortion”

10w-05World Life Organization and Created Equal co-rented a jumbo-tron at the January 26 Walk for Life in San Francisco. On the jumbo-tron was looped a 2-minute video showing the graphic reality of abortion.

One of the pro-life apologists behind the police-protected guardrail surrounding the jumbo-tron was Russell Hunter of Abolish Human Abortion. Russell was approached by a post-abortive mother who made a revealing declaration: “I’m a millionaire because I had an abortion when I was 18.” Here’s the video:

Pro-life vid of the day: Erin’s Law – Stopping child sexual abuse

by LauraLoo From the time she was 6 years old, Erin Merryn was sexually abused:  first by a neighbor, then at age 11 by her cousin.  Rather than destroying her, Merryn’s experiences galvanized her to become a defender of children. In 2004 Erin self-published her diary, Stolen Innocence, when she was a high-school senior.  Six months later, publisher HCI […]

Muslim cleric recommends burkas for babies to avoid molestation

Babies are sex objects? If not, why would they have to cover up? And don’t think this is just in Muslim countries. I took the above photo [click to enlarge] on Madison Avenue. ~ Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs, remarking on the recent controversy of a Muslim cleric declaring a fatwa that all “female babies […]
