Pro-life vid of the day: Duck Dynasty star blasts abortion culture

A&E’s Duck Dynasty is one of the hottest shows on televison. It started out successfully enough, but has since skyrocketed to the point that last week’s fourth season debut was the highest-rated non-scripted cable show ever, drawing 11.8 million viewers.
The family the show follows is well-known for their deep Christian faith, ending each show with a prayer. A video clip with patriarch Phil Robertson commenting on the abortion culture and right to life has recently gone viral. It is from his appearance as a guest speaker at the 2010″Wild Game Supper” at Berean Bible Church in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
Referring to the Declaration’s “right to life” clause, written in nearby Philadelphia:
Listen, from the time you started inside your mother’s womb - Thomas Jefferson had it right. You have the God-given right to life for crying out loud…
And we debate whether it’s a — some woman has the right to tear you out of there a piece at a time? C’mon! You have a God-given right to live! And of all places, inside your mother?! What in the world happened to us?

On another level, I stand for womens freedom. I stand for womens rights. I stand for equality in the secular state. I stand for a number of things. You might not like some of the things I stand for, that doesn’t mean that I don’t.

Yes Reality and someday you will “stand” before your Maker and have to answer for the things you’ve done, right and wrong….just like the rest of us. You can think that you are somehow immune from having to stand before the judgement throne of God when you die, but you are not. At that point I predict you will fall to your knees and beg for forgiveness. We can only pray that happens BEFORE you die so that you may actually be granted mercy.
