Pro-life vid of the day: Jon Stewart laughs at Nancy Pelosi

Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show at one point laughed during his recent interview of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi when she said she didn’t know why the introduction of the Affordable Care Act‘s website went so badly.
“Why is it so hard to get a company to execute that competently?” Stewart asked.
“I don’t know,” Pelosi answered.

Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
This hurts me a lot, and so with great pain I write: Nancy Pelosi is correct on this point. Congress authorized the ACA, and gave to the Executive Branch an unprecedented set of broad powers to build and promulgate the ACA.
The responsibility to develop, test, and launch a website fell on Kathleen Sebelius, and there was nothing that Nancy Pelosi could do about it. If it ran well or if it was lousy, full responsibility for the execution belongs to Kathleen Sebelius and the Executive Branch.
Nancy Pelosi, as Majority Leader when the ACA was passed, has every right to be extremely livid about the failed execution.
This is not her fault.
True Del, but two points to consider, did she expect it would be reasonably different, and now given the evidence, what’s she doing to correct the situation?
Don’t cut her too much slack Del. Nancy “we have to pass the bill before you can know what is in it” Pelosi is the one who opened her big patronizing mouth to tell the American people how stupid she thought they were that they were that they couldn’t handle the truth”. She helped ram down the throats of American people in the middle of the night a secret, partisan, over 2000 page pro-abortion bill that they didn’t even have time to read; without 1 Republican vote whose purpose was to dismantle and take over one sixth of the entire American economy. After she rammed it through putting her neck on the line she could have gotten on the phone frequently or met with Kathy “Dead Babies R Us, friend of Tiller the Baby Killer” Sebellius to check to see if they were getting their act together on her and “empty-suit” Obama’s prime so-called achievement.
If you dare to let me, I could rant blisters onto Nancy Pelosis delicate derrriere.
But on this fine point — the failure of the website — Mz. Pelosi cannot be blamed. Her Congress gave the HHS plenty of money and all of the authority they could possibly need to build a website, and somehow Sebelius managed to mangle it.
I really want Pelosi to show some anger and disappointment in the Administration’s failure. It wasn’t like JFK’s challenge to put a man on the moon within a decade. It was “get us a federal website that works as well as those state exchange websites.”
Del I get your point about the website not being her responsibility but if you were to spend all of your political capital, lost your Speaker of the House seat, bragged about how great a bill was that was going to take over 1/6th of the US economy, it is your baby along with BHO’s baby. BHO, Reid and Pelosi should have been riding idiot Sebellius’ butt checking to see if she was getting her act together. When I have put my butt on the line (and my reputation as well) promoting a project that I have developed and bragged about unless I know I can absolutely trust the person working on the project from past dealings with them I stay in contact checking and verifying until I see it coming together. I agree I want her to show some anger and disappointment in the Administration’s failure instead she just sits there like an airhead. I think it was Oprah I heard once say something like (btw she is not one of my favorite people) “don’t ever hand over total control of your product or your money to someone else when your butt is on the line”.
I was not trying to be snarky Del, if I am coming across that way forgive me. I guess I just needed to vent. The pro-abort animals are running the farm it is a mess and I saw this coming. I think most of us prolifers saw the hand writing of the wall. God bless you.
