Pro-life vid of day: “I’m personally opposed to abortion, but…”
by Hans Johnson
Stand True set up a life development display at the Troy, Ohio Strawberry Festival. The stand drew a lot of positive attention. Here is Bryan Kemper having an exchange with a young woman who says she is opposed to abortion but doesn’t believe she should tell other women not to have abortions:

-Interesting – it is probably a good approach to get people out of the non-answer of “I can’t judge others” and face the issue of the act being one of killing a defenseless human being, but then leaving the person to think about the issue over time.
Sometimes, you can start an abrupt, unexpected discussion with someone and get them to make a profound change in their views, but often people’s views change, for better or worse, in a transition-zone that takes some time – more than a few minutes. Maybe days or months.
Well I used to say this so at that time I was PC. I ran into a nurse I used to work with who aborted in 2000 in 2010. I tried to talk her out of it but another nurse in our social circle told her to have an abortion adding shed had 3. This woman moved to Texas and back to Ohio. She brought up the abortion and asked if I remembered it. I responded adding that Id tried to talk her out of it. She burst into tears as we sat on her porch and she smoked. She had trouble regaining her composure. She sobbed “I killed my baby.” Over and over. I patted her back. ” Noooo!” She moaned…God will never forgive me but I cant condem another woman who has one because I did it!” She felt she had to remain PC. I found the book I’ll Hold You In Heaven and gave it to her. She thanked me adding she knew her baby was a girl and had nightmares. She had also saved the ultrasound picture.
He has a very gentle respectful manner that disarms the other side.
Love this. A man telling a women how to think about other women’s choices. I love the prolife community, you don’t really understand how to win people over and change minds.
An interesting comment coming from someone with a male moniker commenting on a woman’s blog…
