Pro-life vid of day: Planned Parenthood’s 3% abortion myth

Probably the most common tactic in argument is the attempt to deflect attention here, there, and everywhere – anywhere but the topic at hand. The pro-choice supporter hides behind talk of “women’s issues” and “women’s health” in an attempt to throw a cold blanket over the burning issue of abortion.
Nowhere is there a better example of this than in Planned Parenthood’s claim that only a tiny part of their “services” have to do with abortion. As Students for Life shows in this video, PP is engaging in serious deception and has turned the saying about not being able to “see the forest for the trees” on its head.

This would have been well served to check the $$ break down too, abortion is the money maker, it’s what lines PP’s pockets (especially if you take away government monies). They are all about abortion.

The problem with the video is that they don’t do the same thing with “services” that they do with the fast food meals.
Say they count 12 packs of birth control, one pap smear, one breast exam, and one counseling session for every birth control visit, etc. They don’t compare one abortion VISIT with one birth control VISIT. They compare 1 abortion “service” with 15 other “services.” That would make abortions 6% of their services even if they were doing one abortion for every birth control visit!
So how many “services” do they count for one birth control visit? And do they count abortion “services” as only the abortion and count the pregnancy test, ultrasound, counseling, and follow-up exam each as a separate “service”? If they do that, then even if 100% of the women who walked in had abortions, only 20% of their “services” would be abortions.
I want to see THAT math.

While birth control is a PP service, there is a difference. Unlike abortion, birth control is not a services delivered to pregnant women.

This video is confusing.
The fast food analogy doesn’t work because most people going to fast food want the burger or the nuggets. You can’t say the majority of PP customers want the abortion.
It would have been better to stick with Planned Parenthood’s numbers to show how it gets 3%.
