My big take-away from attending a pro-choice rally

image (7)I was afforded a unique opportunity on January 24 to unobtrusively observe a pro-choice rally.

I had been invited to speak in Austin by Texas Right to Life at a two-day conference for pro-life college students, which intersected on Saturday afternoon with the annual Texas Rally for Life.

Almost bizarrely, the pro-life rally was held on the south lawn of the capitol building at the same time a pro-abortion rally was held on the north lawn.

So, since I’ve attended quite a few pro-life rallies in my time, I thought I’d check out the other side’s.

Abortion Barbie’s replacement in TX Senate to wear “Stand for Life” boots when sworn in

Who can forget the pink Minuzos former Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis wore when in 2013 she filibustered an omnibus pro-life bill for 13 hours?

The “undue burden” of a regulated abortion clinic

~ RH Reality Check’s Andrea Grimes, itemizing the “undue burden” placed on pregnant mothers who have to travel further to get an abortion at a regulated abortion clinic in Texas, as opposed to a closer unregulated clinic. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of these regulations on October 2, effectively shuttering 13 unstandardized […]

Rick Perry, Joan Rivers, and clinic regulations

by Carder Of course, Rick Perry isn’t really saying he truly thinks an abortion law like Texas’ actually might have saved Joan Rivers’ life. Even Rick Perry is smarter than to say something like that out loud. All he’s saying is that if Joan Rivers had had the benefit of the kinds of regulations Texas […]

Abortion industry in crisis: Planned Parenthood seizes control of shrinking turf

Planned Parenthood abortion clinic monopolySince 2010, abortion proponents have acknowledged with increasing frequency and alarm that they think they are starting to lose. Two recent essays reveal new crises they are adding to their growing list:

Abortion backers launch “Taco or Beer Challenge,” because ice water is so cold and wet

2014-08-25_1128Around the world, famous and nonfamous people alike are filming themselves dumping or having dumped ice water on their heads in the new fad called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The dunkee then pays it forward by challenging others to do the same. Party poopers are supposed to donate $100 to the cause.

Pro-lifers oppose donating to the ALS Association because it supports research of human embryos and aborted fetal cells.

Our opposition has even made national news, which is helpful in bringing attention to ALSA’s deadly research.

Pro-lifers are still enjoying the ice bucket challenge, they just donate to ethical causes. My own pastor took the challenge this weekend, asking people to donate to a clean water initiative in Africa.

But then there are abortion supporters.

Pro-life blog buzz 7-29-14

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli A Culture of Life says STDs are showing an increasing resistance to antibiotic treatments: It’s a constant race with the bugs. We develop a new antibiotic, and after a while, we see the first signs of resistance appearing. Then the resistance spreads, until […]

Moral of the story: Don’t depend on abortion for birth control or have sex with creeps

drive long distance abortion andrea grimes rh reality checkOn June 3, RH Reality Check’s Andrea Grimes wrote about the “abortion access crisis” in East Texas where, due to clinic closures, women are being forced to “travel hundreds of miles roundtrip to Houston, Dallas, or Shreveport for legal abortion care.”

Save one, the examples Grimes gave to draw sympathy didn’t, at least from me:
