• Down on the Pharm reviews the latest statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, which seem to support something pro-lifers have been saying for a long time – that minorites are targeted by the abortion industry:
  

  … 63 percent of the abortions in the U.S. end the lives of Black or Hispanic babies. This wildly outpaces the proportions of these minorities in the general population, and it directly relates to the locations of the abortion clinics.

• I would suggest women stay far away from Jessy Jordan Holtzkamp if he ever gets out of prison:
  

  Holtzkamp, a second-year high school senior, told an officer he was too young to be a father and wanted the unborn child to be aborted or not be born alive, according to the complaint.

  When the officer told Holtzkamp his situation would be worsened if [Krystal] Alters-Meulemans suffered a miscarriage, he replied, “Why I wanted that to happen; I would love for that to happen,” according to the complaint.

  After he was advised he was being booked into jail on suspicion of attempted first-degree homicide of an unborn child, Holtzkamp “started making himself out to be a celebrity, stating, ‘We got a murderer up in here,'” and then started singing a song about killing the baby, the complaint states.

  When an officer asked him if he felt any remorse for trying to kill the fetus, he replied, “Hell naw,” according to the complaint.

• At National Review, Michael New reports that despite the Rasmussen poll which supposedly showed an increase in pro-choice sentiment following the November election, nothing really changed from their previous April poll:
  

  Rasmussen’s April survey also showed that likely voters were more likely to describe themselves as “pro-choice” rather than” pro-life,” by a 51–40 margin. In short, the “war on women” rhetoric and the statements by Akin and Mourdock only resulted in a three-percentage-point gain in “pro-choice” sentiment — a difference that falls within the poll’s margin of error….

  [Th]e Democrats’ emphasis on abortion and contraception… likely succeeded in increasing turnout among pro-choice voters. It also likely made pro-choice voters more likely to cast their vote based on the abortion issue. However, the results of the Rasmussen survey provide little evidence that this fall’s election cycle substantially shifted public opinion in favor of legal abortion.

• At Live Action, Rebecca Frazer points out the ridiculousness of Planned Parenthood of Indiana promoting themselves as an adoption referrer:
  

  Yes, you read that right. Planned Parenthood is excited that they have contributed to a whopping twelve adoptions in six years. If we do some simple math that comes out to an average of two adoptions a year.

  Last year alone, Planned Parenthood of Indiana performed 5,250 abortions. 5,250. That means that if 2011 was an average adoption year, Planned Parenthood helped with one adoption for every 2,625 abortions they performed. Perhaps they should send their adoption counselors back to job training.

Men are turning their backs on “the snip” as a form of contraception, according to the latest figures. • Planned Parenthood is opposed to forced abortion so much that they issued a press release regarding Chen Guangcheng after he had already made it safely to the United States. Gee, thanks.
• Robin Marty attempts to prove that if abortion is difficult to get, women will go to desperate lengths to end their pregnancy. She highlights a British woman who died after drinking concentrated vinegar in a home abortion attempt. One large problem with this argument is abortion is readily available in Great Britain and paid for by tax dollars. So the example undercuts Marty’s argument because it shows that some women, regardless of how much access there is to abortion, will do stupid, dangerous things.
