Stolen love letter

carlaby Carla Stream
Lead moderator at JillStanek.com and blogger at Operation Outcry Wisconsin

I had an abortion 23 years ago. I have written love letters to my daughter Aubrey, sometimes around the date of my abortion, September 5th – sometimes because I have to feel what I feel and type it out.

Over the years I have gained perspective. I carry the regret of paying someone to end my daughter’s life.

Obama invokes sacred pro-life Scripture at National Prayer Breakfast

258957047294288047_Y6z2NNBf_fPsalm 139:13-16 is the go-to Bible passage 90% of the time for pastors planning sermons on the pro-life issue. In it, David eloquently describes human life as a continuum that begins at conception, with God as our Creator:

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

1/26, 5:15p: It’s Terri Schiavo all over again.

Another pro-death judge has inexplicably ordered the death of an innocent, helpless person due to a family’s wishes.

Despite a Texas law requiring that pregnant mothers be kept on life support until their preborn babies are viable, District Court Judge R. H. Wallace on Friday ordered John Peter Smith Hospital to remove Marlise Munoz’s life support by 5p Monday – and the hospital has already complied.

  • Down on the Pharm shares some information that probably should have been brought to women’s attention much sooner – Plan B and ella aren’t as reliable for females who weigh more than 176 pounds:

The European manufacturer of Norlevo, which is their version of Plan B (Levonorgestrel) has very kindly decided to warn people that their product does not work for women over 176 lbs, and is less effective for women over 165 lbs….

In fact, people ALSO could learn here that the newer morning after pill, Ella (ulipristal acetate) has the same problem….

It appears that Mother Jones is the first of the mainstream media to let the kitty out of the bag in the United States. They note that the average weight of American girls is 166.2 lbs, which puts them over the weight limit for Plan B to work at its touted 60 percent effectiveness. The avg weight of Black and Hispanic women from 20-39 years of age is 186 lbs, which means that they can completely forget about Plan B.

Any hospital or clinic using this drug as a part of rape treatment is therefore pushing ineffective treatment and charging fraudulently. Planned Parenthood and its ilk are doing the same.

New campaign warns abortion clinic workers: “Don’t let your job put you in prison”

DERTL PP Billboard Wilmington 2

Delaware Right to Life has erected six billboards this autumn, one directly across the street from the Wilmington Planned Parenthood (in photo above).

The billboards give a simple but sobering message to abortion clinic workers: “Don’t let your job put you in prison.”

March for Life expands direction

With attendance estimated to range between 200,000 to 500,000, the March for Life is the largest annual civil rights event in the world.

NellieatpodiumFor 40 years, founder Nellie Gray, pictured right, dedicated herself to the March for Life. “The last call she made before she died was about the March,” new M4L president Jeanne Monahan told me in an interview. Jeanne was appointed to her position after Nellie passed away in August 2012.

Jeanne and her team are now exploring ways to expand on Nellie’s vision and to capitalize on the innate power M4L holds. With advances online, in texting, and social media, I’ve hoped for the day when M4L would tap into the strength of its vast yearly crowd of mostly young people to promote the sanctity of life year-round in a greater capacity. Jeanne agrees. “We want to make March for Life a year-round thing,” she quipped.

Using social media to save lives

Blue Facebook Logoby Lead Moderator Carla

I have been on Facebook for years and have added many pro-lifers to my friends list in an effort to stay current on pro-life issues. But I also try to educate the friends I have who do not know the truth about the abortion industry.

In at least four instances, I have been involved in helping stop forced abortions by simply responding to status updates or prayer requests on Facebook. These were women and teenage girls being coerced by boyfriends or parents. I responded with immediate practical help and advice to keep innocent lives from being destroyed. One of the ways I did this was to encourage them to contact The Center Against Forced Abortion, which is a project of The Justice Foundation.
