BREAKING: Live Action launches new investigation on late-term abortions

Video #1: Infanticide in the Bronx: Abortion survivors dunked in poison

2013-04-28_0352

UDPATE, 9:42p: Also the New York Times.

UDPATE, 6:40p: Melinda Henneberger at the Washington Post is reporting on this story, as is The Daily Caller, Kathryn Jean Lopez at National Review Online, PolicyMic, Fox News, and Hot Air.

5:54a: Today, Live Action is launching a new investigative video series on late-term abortions in America: “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s Late-Term Abortion Industry.”

Was Kermit Gosnell an anomaly? Not if the findings in Live Action’s first released video are any indication.

Dr. Emily’s Women’s Health Center is a late-term abortion clinic located in the Bronx section of New York City, where a wincing 41% of pregnancies end in abortion. A Live Action investigator who was 23 weeks pregnant – with a potentially viable baby – visited this mill for shocking results.

When even MSM thinks the Democratic Convention is an abortion-palooza, you know it’s bad

When even liberals and the mainstream media think the Democratic National Convention has turned into an abortion-palooza, it must really be blatant.

Apparently even ideologically aligned reporters have their breaking point on abortion promotion. To wit…

Pro-abortion New York Times columnist David Brooks, after Day 1:

Democrat platform committee warned: Soften abortion stance or lose

There were lots of interesting tidbits in Melinda Henneberger’s August 7 Washington Post piece, “Democratic abortion foes push for change in platform.”

For starters:

Democratic dissenters on the issue of abortion have made their case to the platform committee, arguing that the party should change its language enough to allow for some diversity of opinion on the matter and return to the “big tent” approach of the Clinton years.

[Democrats for Life president] Janet Robert, who founded Minnesota’s progressive talk radio station AM 950… was given seven minutes… to argue that the party simply cannot win back Congress without Democrats who differ from the ’08 platform on this one issue. She cited a slew of stats, including a Gallup poll from last year in which 44% of Democrats said abortion should only be legal “in a few circumstances.”

But with NARAL president Nancy Keenan on the platform committee, it ain’t gonna happen. Plus, the abortion lobby has more power than ever with ally Barack Obama at the helm.

  • Michael J. Fox is finally curbing his embryonic stem cell enthusiasm while lamely trying to cover his rear. He says:

It’s not so much that [stem cell research has] diminished in its prospects for breakthroughs as much as it’s the other avenues of research have grown and multiplied and become as much or more promising. So, an answer may come from stem cell research but it’s more than likely to come from another area.

During the interview, Fox Foundation co-founder Deborah Brooks then mentions some of the problems with putting embryonic stem cells into the brains of people with Parkinson’s. You know, the same problems pro-life people have been noting for years and the same problems that Dr. Oz told Fox about on Oprah around 3 years ago.
