Why I chose to get arrested at Speaker Boehner’s office

FB_IMG_1427403691349~2

When word came down the night of January 21 that House GOP leaders were reneging on their promise to hold a vote on the 20-week abortion ban the next day – the haunting 42nd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v Wade decision – [WARNING: vulgarity alert], I was pissed off to the height of pisstivity. Sorry, that’s the most accurate way I can describe it.

On March 25 it will have been just over TWO MONTHS since Republican House leaders reneged on their promise to vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act on January 22, when hundreds of thousands were participating in the March for Life.

If GOP leaders thought we might forget, they were mistaken. More than enough time has passed for them to right their wrong.

Today, I joined pro-life activists Rev. Pat Mahoney and Troy Newman in announcing a peaceful protest and sit-in at Speaker John Boehner’s office on March 25 at 11 a.m.

Pro-life activist occupies Ohio early voting center

Pro-life activist Richard Justman became more and more disturbed to see only Democrats show up in force after a Columbus, Ohio, Early Voting Center opened for business near his home on October 2.

Finally, at 1 a.m. on Monday, October 22, Justman, unable to sleep, decided to do something about it, he says prompted by the Holy Spirit.

Justman awakened his son and the two drove Justman’s box truck and van and parked them right on the 100-ft yellow line marking the legal distance partisans could appeal to incoming voters, directly in front of the building.

Pro-life community suffers tragic losses

Over the weekend the pro-life movement tragically lost Students for Life of America Field Director Kortney Blythe Gordon and her preborn 21-week-old daughter Sophy in an automobile accident. About 8p Saturday night Kortney, 28, and three passengers were driving back to Virginia from an SFLA conference in Georgia. An oncoming vehicle on the two-lane road […]

20th anniversary of the Summer of Mercy

Have you heard of the Summer of Mercy? The Summer of Mercy was a huge, dramatic, pro-life prayer/protest vigil numbering up to 50,000 pro-lifers and staged at 3 Wichita, Kansas, abortion mills for 6 weeks in July and August exactly 20 years ago, in 1991. There were 5,000 arrests.

Planned Parenthood in DC loses “No Trespassing” bluff

I reported May 28 that longtime DC pro-life activist Rev. Pat Mahoney said, “Hey, wait a minute.” when spotting a fence and “No Trespassing” sign in front of the friendly neighborhood Planned Parenthood chop shop located 4 blocks from the White House. Because of his longevity in DC, the good reverend  knew PP was attempting […]
