• Slate’s William Saletan (a pro-choice writer) argues pro-lifers get legislation passed because they care more than pro-choicers:
  

  To cancel out that advantage, pro-choicers have to raise the intensity level. When the percentage of respondents who call abortion critical, very important, or a deal-breaker rises toward 30 percent or more, the balance of power begins to shift.Think about that when you see pro-lifers winning elections, passing laws, and marching in the cold. They don’t win because they’re a majority. They win because they care enough to fight.

There has been no shortage of pro-abortion response to Time’s January 14 cover story, “What choice?”, which made the case abortion proponents have been losing the war ever since they thought they won the war in the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

The article’s author, Kate Pickert, listed a variety of reasons: a plethora of pro-life laws passed in the states, public sentiment, science, stigma, aging abortionists, and generational in-fighting.

The latter point was proven by a spate of commentary by pro-abortion Millennials defending themselves while attacking their “legacy” leaders.

Aside from that, I was surprised there hasn’t been much push back.

The latest Millennial to take a shot at her aging forebearers, pardon the pun, is Katie Stack, who was featured in MTV’s 2010 abortion special, “No Easy Decision,” about young mothers who decided to kill their preborn babies.

To her credit, Stack conceded many of Pickert’s points, although Stack always circled back to blame the “legacy” movement.

Here’s a thought I found particularly interesting, quoting Stack from AmplifyYourVoice.org:

Frankly, if you want to instill more relevant modern values into your children, you’d be better off sticking with the Dickens tale, which emphasizes the importance of love and generosity. The story of Christ’s birth, on the other hand, is about how virgins are better than non-virgins, with a side dose of arguing that babies […]

I don’t know what it’s going to take to get people to comprehend that hormonal contraceptives – i.e., the birth control pill, implants, and rings – are rated by the United Nations World Health Organization as “Group 1 Carcinogens,” as toxic and in the same class as asbestos, mustard gas, and tobacco.

IT IS A SCANDAL that President Obama, feminists, the media, and the medical establishment continue to push these virulent cancer causing artificial steroids on our women.

Not once in this October 4 puff piece promoting free contraceptives did the Associated Press author or any of the medical professionals interviewed bring up any of the deadly harms of hormonal contraceptives.

• A Pennsylvania man attacked and tried to kill his girlfriend after demanding she get an abortion. From the Express-Times:
  

  Jashua Kinch-Rodriguez, 24, approached Jessenia Rosario about 9 p.m. Friday as she pulled into her apartment in the 100 block of South 12th Street, police said.

  Kinch-Rodriguez started arguing with her as she sat in her car’s seat, demanding she abort the baby and calling her a “whore,” according to court records. He then punched Rosario in the stomach and genitals with an open fist while screaming at her and threatening to kill her, police said. He also allegedly closed the car door on her legs.

  After Kinch-Rodriguez walked away, Rosario got out of the car and started going up the stairs to her second-floor apartment, where four other people were already inside, police said. Kinch-Rodriguez then produced a gun and started firing several shots into the apartment, nearly striking Rosario, according to court documents.

• Wesley J. Smith notes that the Democratic Party’s abortion platform is extreme, even for the majority of Democrats:
  

  While solid majorities of Democrats back some limitations on abortion — 59 percent would ban partial-birth abortions, for example, and 60 percent endorse a mandatory waiting period — the official position of their party is that even common-sense restrictions are unthinkable….

  If Obamacare remains in effect, eventually Congress will revoke the abortion restrictions currently in the law. Then, we’ll see a “Free Abortion Rule,” patterned after the Free Birth Control Rule.

• Here’s a classic B-word slip in a Slate article discussing how the placenta works, entitled, “Your fetus is an alien”:
  

  [NYU’s Adrian] Erlebacher’s not the only one studying this stuff. [Harvey] Kliman, the Yale researcher, also investigated human placentas, and his findings suggest an entirely different mechanism in play. Kliman suspects that a specific protein in pregnant women, called PP13, acts as a decoy of sorts to trick the mom’s immune system to stay away from the baby.

• Live Action notes yet another scandal in the abortion industry – this time from the UK’s National Health Service:
  

  Breaking news from England has found… doctors caught forging abortion consent forms – before they ever even saw any patients. When investigators mounted a series of raids on abortion clinics, they found doctors routinely pre-signing consent forms, with nurses filling in the patient information later….

  All in all, 14 hospitals have been censured due to these illegal abortions.

  What does this tell us about the attitude of the abortion industry? Both in the U.K. and here in the United States, there is an overwhelming prevalence of extreme disregard for the law. The abortion industry will blatantly break the law time and time again in order to profit off their gruesome business.
