• American Life League’s Judie Brown contrasts the indifference toward the slaughter of 3,000 humans daily by abortion in America to the outcry over the euthanasia of an Ebola patient’s dog in Spain. Brown is a dog lover, but even she was shocked at the huge response to save the life of one animal:
  

  Here is the first sentence of a news report that came to my attention recently: “With more than 3,400 people dead in west Africa and 7,500 infected in the latest Ebola outbreak, 300,000 people sign a petition demanding action… to save an infected dog.” This was twice as many people as those who signed a petition demanding a cure be found for the deadly virus….

  As it turns out, the dog was “put down” Wednesday by Madrid’s regional government. But the fact of the matter is that the plight of this one pet generated more interest and involvement than a single preborn child threatened and then killed by the act of abortion.

  There is something dramatically wrong with this picture.

While liberals whine about puritanical Christians, there are truly dangerous religions to fear in the real world, particularly radical Islam.

This story is just one more shocking display of its evil depths.

Eight months pregnant Meriam Ibrahim, pictured above with husband Daniel Wani, is being shackled in a Sudanese prison for the crime of being a Christian. Her 20-month-old son Martin, also pictured above, is imprisoned with her.

The baby would likely be stillborn in the seventh or eighth month. If carried, miraculously, to term, it would suffer from Trisomy 18, likely Down syndrome and heart failure. It did not possess a nasal bone….

Other women may have carried to term, or as close to term as possible, a child whose condition could allow it to live for a few days, or weeks, or maybe a few years. But faced with the impossibility of this loss, we chose to face it then, before a child had the chance to win our hearts and let us hope for the impossible.

We pro-lifers often say a politician who doesn’t seek to protect human life at its earliest stages cannot be trusted to care about and protect life at later stages.

Last night CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Pat Smith, mother of slain State Dept. official Sean Smith, who was killed in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 along with Ambassador Chris Stevens and two others during a terrorist attack.

10/2, 11:14a: Because there is not enough social unrest in the Middle East, I agree it is the perfect time for the so-called “abortion ship” to stir the waters even more.

News reports today are relaying contradictory yet alarming information about the well-being of Chinese pro-life dissident Chen Guangcheng and his family.

Previous reports indicated Chen wanted to remain in China after having escaped to the U.S. Embassy on April 22.

But after Chen was reunited with his wife – only after being returned by the U.S. to the Chinese – and learning how she was treated in his absence, he apparently changed his mind and wants to leave the country – on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s plane, no less.
