  • Americans United for Life urges pastors in Illinois to address a new bill from the pulpit:

Illinois SB 1564, a bill that would dramatically reduce the state’s conscience protections for health care providers and pro-life pregnancy centers, continues to advance.Yesterday, the House Committee on Human Services voted along party lines to advance this dangerous bill to the House floor. If the bill passes the House, it will go to Governor Rauner for consideration.

Democrat Party’s new cause: adult consensual incest

screen-shot-2015-02-02-at-9-46-21-pmYou will note a missing word in the description of the rape/incest exceptions in the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, i.e., 20-week abortion ban, passed in the U.S. House May 13:

EXCEPTIONS….

the pregnancy is the result of rape against an adult woman….

the pregnancy is a result of rape against a minor or incest against a minor….

Do you see it? The missing word is “incest against an adult woman.”

  • Saynsumthn’s Blog writes of another 911 call from an abortion clinic – this time in Bakersfield, California. The abortionist on duty at the time was Karen Mann, who is also believed to have been the doctor on duty in March when a husband “was forced to call 911 to get help for his wife after her abortion at that facility.”

Why in the world do Black women’s groups see abortion as the answer to violence?

1920In The American Prospect, Cherisse Scott, founder of SisterReach, an African-American “reproductive justice” group centered in Memphis, laments the passage in Tennessee of Amendment 1 this past month.

Amendment 1 undoes a 2000 Tennessee Supreme Court decision that blocked any pro-life laws from being passed in the state. Scott writes:

Pro-choice author: Pro-lifers “chain pregnant women to beds”

by Carder … [I]f you are pregnant and you are even suspected of possibly not wanting your baby you can be arrested and chained up to your hospital bed until you have the baby. Tennessee has just enacted legislation like that. Texas has got it. A number of them have it. And it’s all right-to-life […]

  • Down on the Pharm reminds us that the old “hCG in the tetanus vaccine” scandal happening in Kenya right now is nothing new:

BREAKING: Opponents of TN Amendment 1 file lawsuit to have vote invalidated

breakingUPDATE, 4:55p: Tennessee Right to Life is saying that Amendment 1 still has enough votes, even if this far-fetched lawsuit goes anywhere.

9:37a: This is insane logic, but who knows if it will work, what with the crazy liberal judges out there. From the Associated Press, last night:
