Planned Parenthood CEO takes leave to schlepp full-time for Obama

On October 19 the Obama campaign announced via video by Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards that she was taking a leave of absence from her “day job” to campaign full-time for Barack Obama in the waning days leading up to the presidential election….

Missouri: Both Akin and Romney regain footing

Liberal news outlet Slate has noticed with disbelief that Missouri Republican pro-life U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin “has crept back into the Missouri Senate race,” which three polls have now concluded.

A Family Research Council poll conducted August 27-28 found Akin had pulled ahead of Democrat pro-abortion incumbent Claire McCaskill 45-42% after a precipitous drop following an unfortunate explanation for his rape/incest exception to abortion.

But that was our side. When Democrat pollster Public Policy Polling found in a flash poll on August 20, the day after Akin made his infamous remark, that Akin still held a slight 44-43% lead, PPP was accused by his side of skewing the results “to ensure Akin stays in, so that he can get pummeled in November.”

But PPP’s second poll, conducted August 28 and 29, had nearly the same findings: McCaskill ahead by only a hair, 44-43%. According to Poll Tracker, here is how the race stands. Click to enlarge…

When even MSM thinks the Democratic Convention is an abortion-palooza, you know it’s bad

When even liberals and the mainstream media think the Democratic National Convention has turned into an abortion-palooza, it must really be blatant.

Apparently even ideologically aligned reporters have their breaking point on abortion promotion. To wit…

Pro-abortion New York Times columnist David Brooks, after Day 1:

Akin regains lead as social conservatives stand by him

If Todd Akin pulls this off, it will be more than he who is vindicated. It was also be the pro-life community.

After supposedly suffering a nine point drop following his infamous rape remark, to fall behind Claire McKaskill 49-44%, could it be that Akin has already recovered? Yes, according to a new poll commissioned by Family Research Council.

If Akin regains his foothold, it will put knee-jerk Republicans in a deservedly tough spot. Two days ago RNC Chairman Reince Priebus insanely declared, “He can be tied, we’re not gonna send him a penny.” Priebus, pictured right, has said he believes life begins at conception, although he must also believe babies whose fathers are rapists can nevertheless be murdered.

Seriously, are Republicans so afraid of feminists, and so afraid of defending the pro-life issue, that they’ll throw themselves under the same bus they threw Akin?

Reported Politico, yesterday:

Evangelicals and Catholics unite against HHS mandate

Before Wheaton’s move, most plaintiffs suing over the mandate were Catholic colleges and organizations that follow the Vatican’s teaching against birth control. Most of the 58 plaintiffs in the 24 lawsuits are Catholic dioceses, colleges and charity groups. But Wheaton’s involvement shows that Catholics aren’t alone in opposing the mandate, since many evangelical Christians view […]

Three abortion groups admit sex-selective abortion a problem in U.S.

Until now pro-abortion groups have opposed state and federal bans against sex selective abortions by simply denying they exist, for instance Jezebel only six days ago:

[I]n the U.S., there’s no evidence or noteworthy numbers to indicate that women are having abortions based on the sex of the infant….

Apparently, abortion industry leaders have decided they can no longer carry on the ruse. Public opinion is so persuaded against sex-selective abortion, the other side must have decided they have to enter the conversation in order to remain players and try to influence the outcome.

The first to fall was Guttmacher Institute in its Spring 2012 Policy Review, published sometime after May 1:

Dolan: Obama compromise on contraception mandate “a hill of beans”; opposition intensifies

Just as the mainstream media initially failed to report the erupting controversy over President Obama’s contraceptive mandate, they are again ignoring the sustained uproar against it. MSM thinks Obama’s faux concession on February 10 settled the matter. According to The Hill on February 13:

Best response ever to “fetus is parasite” meme

Two comments following the January 23 article in The Hill, “Proponents of DC voting rights challenge proposed late-term abortion ban”: THIS IS SCIENCE: FETUS IS NOT A BABY (GOOGLE THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CHART), but a parasite because the classification of the biological relationship that is based on the behavior one organism (fetus) and how it […]
