Lawmakers get death threats after passing sweeping pro-life laws

2013-03-28_1044

On March 22 North Dakota became the first state to legislatively authorize a ballot initiative that would establish the right to life from the moment of conception.

On March 26 North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple signed three other major pro-life bills into law. According to the Bismarck Tribune:

  • Expose Abortion has a haunting quote from former abortion practitioner Susan Thayer, discussing how abortion providers must be gradually desensitized to the grisly work of abortion:

I walked into the surgical suite and headed toward the foot of the exam table. I was stopped and told to sit in a chair by the door because, they said, nearly everyone who watches the first time, can’t take it and either get sick or faint. Once you make it through one abortion, you are allowed to gradually move closer to the patient, therefore seeing more of the procedure.

  • A Wisconsin man has been charged with stalking after he allegedly threatened to kill his lover if she didn’t have an abortion.

True Xiong, 46, demanded she undergo the procedure when she learned she was pregnant with his child in July, according to the complaint filed Monday in La Crosse County Circuit Court.

She refused, and Xiong continued with his threats to kill her and the child, sometimes calling her two or three times a day. Xiong said he

tampered with her car and rotated her bed, an action in Hmong culture meant to bring bad luck to the woman and her child, according to the complaint.

Xiong, who is married, threatened the woman in person when he could no longer reach her by phone.

Wisconsin: Abortion planes incoming

The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform announced today it will fly 50′ x 100′ aerial billboards displaying photographs of first trimester, ten-week-old aborted babies over Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Racine and Waukesha, Wisconsin, from November 2 through Election Day, November 6:

Pro-lifers sue Florida city for banning home protests

True to their word, pro-life activists in Winter Park, Florida, have sued the city government for passing an ordinance banning home protests.

City commissioners (minus the mayor, who voted to protect free speech) enacted the ban after pro-lifers picketed the home of Jenna Tosh, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando, on August 18.

The ban prohibits protests within 50 feet of any home.

Catholic bishop to parishioners: Vote pro-abortion and jeopardize soul

I would like to review some of the principles to keep in mind as you approach the voting booth to complete your ballot. The first is the set of non-negotiables. These are areas that are “intrinsically evil” and cannot be supported by anyone who is a believer in God or the common good or the dignity of the human person.

They are:

1. abortion

2. euthanasia

3. embryonic stem cell research

4. human cloning

5. homosexual “marriage”

Some candidates and one party have even chosen some of these as their party’s or their personal political platform. To vote for someone in favor of these positions means that you could be morally “complicit” with these choices which are intrinsically evil.

This could put your own soul in jeopardy.

Intel: Liberals plan anti-Mormon lit drop at mega-churches weekend before election

I was on a conference call yesterday regarding intelligence gathered from a highly placed source that liberal Obama surrogates are planning to target Evangelical mega-church parking lots with bigoted anti-Mormon flyers the final weekend before the election in key battleground states like Ohio, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Mega-church pastors are being notified to have parking lot attendants be on the lookout for such a lit drop. But please forward this post to all pastors of both Protestant and Catholic churches, particularly in battleground states.

It may surprise you to learn that most of anti-Mormonism is on the LEFT, not the Right. From The American Spectator, April 18:

Paul Ryan: HHS contraceptive mandate “will be gone” if Romney wins

… Wisconsin congressman [and pro-life Catholic Paul Ryan] said if he and Mitt Romney win the election in November, the requirement [for] religious employers… to provide contraception, sterilization, and abortifacient drugs “will be gone, I can guarantee you that…. The Obama administration failed to recognize this mandate is in violation of our First Amendment right […]
