Fence removed from vacant lot across from Planned Parenthood Aurora

I was just notified by email that the chain link fence around the area of the vacant lot owned by Safeway/Dominicks (across from Planned Parenthood Aurora), has been removed.
The fence went up in October, after PP launched a nationwide effort to harrass Dominicks with emails complaining about pro-life presence on their property.
It was supposed to be removed on December 10, 2007, however, it was not until yesterday. 
We do not know whether they will be building a new permanent fence or whether they will leave the fence down… but what we do know is that the fence’s presence did absolutely NOTHING to hinder pro-life efforts.

Because having Dominick’s assert its property rights in the form of preventing them from trespassing was offensive to them.

Because it does!! Because that fence was Auschwitz!! And Hitler liked it! And now that it’s down, canned ham for everyone! And when everyone has canned ham, then Planned Parenthood will be defeated! Because Hitler didn’t like canned ham! Or planning for parenthood! Or something like that anyway.
As long as the protesters aren’t acting violent, screaming, throwing things, grabbing or hitting people, they should be allowed to protest. I assume they only protest on Saturdays? As Saturday is the only day PP does abortions right? They shouldn’t make getting a mammogram or an HIV test or a gynecological exam any harder then it is.
The protesters are actually pretty well behaved Jess. Well, ok, except for the trespassing, which is what the fence was put up to prevent.

Well, maybe if the ghetto trash pro-life trespassers had obeyed the law, the fence never would have gone up.
Certainly I would have been more entertained had the owners of the lot used firearms and large, roid-ragin’ rottweillers to protect their private property. (Perhaps a group of 8 Florida High-School girls would have done the trick. They seem violent…)
As a nearby resident, I am very glad that the City has finally started to enforce its own rules and that the eyesore of a fence is gone. It is an encouraging sign that the City is taking the lawsuit seriously.
The pro-Aborts on this site are very revealing. The amount of time they spend here demonstrates how desparate they are to combat the pro-lifers. Always seeking to demoralize any effort. Lacking any positive outlets for their time, they spend hour after hour on this site promoting infanticide and mocking others. I really pray for you all; I pray you find healing for the damage abortion has no doubt caused in your life.

Oh, really??? That’s funny, Laura, because when I was protesting BEFORE the fence went up, there was not one NO TRESSPASSING sign ON that vacant lot. Kids used to play ball in it, etc. It’s only because Safeway caved into PP employee’s hysterical, whining phone calls to get us off of Safeway’s property did it become an issue. The vacant property, as you remember, was a perfect place to meet and greet the abortive mothers! hmmmmm now why would PP be so upset about that??? Even PC’ers don’t WANT abortion, right???

Serious question for you, though. Pre-abortive mothers, and some fathers, have taken those pamphlets, gone into PP, came out and approached these fine men and women who handed them these pamphlets. They cried and thanked them over & over again for being there. They told these fine men and women that were handing out the pamphlets that they are going to keep their babies, and are so glad that they were there that day.
My question, to you, is do you think it’s a bad thing for pre-abortive mothers and the fathers to take these pamphlets from these people? Do you think it is a bad thing for people to stand there and offer these pamphlets to people? Or would you rather have them not there so these pre-abortive mothers and the fathers would just abort instead.
I’ve heard over and over again from you PC’ers, that nobody WANTS abortion, which is why you guys detest the name “pro-aborts”. I’m trying really hard not to use that name, but when you make fun out of people for being there to help people if they need it, and not forcing the pamphlets on anyone, I’m beginning to think that my pre-conceptive notion of you guys is correct. Kids played in that field all of the time before the fence went up!

I don’t know I kinda liked how they addressed abortion as cheating nature and such.

Uhhhhh….trespassing is trespassing, whether there is a sign out is totally irrelevant. You have to be invited on to someone else’s private property in order to not be trespassing.

Actually, no. If they have done nothing to secure it, not even a sign, it isn’t. My front yard and porch are private property and folks come up to my door all the time uninvited. It is not trespassing, which is why a fence was placed around the lot and signs posted.

Interesting points Pip.
Especially the part about having an abortion so she can go to college. Do we ever consider that maybe not every woman wants to go to college and might rather have her baby and get married? I know plenty of people who partied through college and now work at jobs they could have got without going to college.
I would love to see a survey that asks teenaged women if it is they or their partners who initiate sexual contact. I would also like to see a survey asking teens if and why they want to go to college. College education is a business. Naturally colleges want to sell their product. How convenient for them that this mindset has developed that no amount of sacrifice or debt is too great to obtain their product. A personal level of commitment to higher education is now expected. Curiously such a level of commitment used to be reserved for one’s family.

I know many girls from high school who stayed in my town to raise kids instead of go to college. I’ve also seen the opposite.
But regardless I don’t think it should have to be a choice, which is why I’m (walking lol) a 5K on saturday to help raise funds for a scholarship that helps out pregnant and mothering students (hoping to raise $25,000).
pip, on April 26th were having a pro-life rally outside the abortion mill they so deceptively erected in Aurora. A part of the rally is a baby shower where people donate gifts to be donated to pregnancy centers. I am glad to hear you are staying active in your effort to make positive changes in the lives of pregnant mothers :)
