Most doctors concur that informing women that the fetus they want aborted has arms and legs is not, in fact, medically relevant information, and that requiring such information to be discussed violates the doctor-patient relationship.

Alexa – your quote is insulting to the average person’s intelligence.
In 2001, my wife had a growth of blood vessels in the retina of her eye. In every instance of treating her condition, the doctor displayed an accurate image of that growth, along with an explanation of what he was doing and what to expect, so my wife was fully informed about the nature of the surgical decision facing her.
If the growth within the woman is an innocent human being, then understanding the nature of that growth is critical to that woman’s long term health,
If you’re assuming that growth is not a human being then you’re scientifically misinformed. Further, you appear to have as much a conflict of interest in taking your position, as the abortionists who make money from failing to completely inform women regarding their pregnancies.
Further, those arms and legs you discuss – during a D&C, it’s critical that they be removed from the uterus, because if they are left behind, they will cause an infection.
Lastly, if there really is nothing morally wrong with abortion, then why the apparent discomfort discussing all the details of the abortion and what’s in her womb?

If women already knew their child had a heart beat and the more abortion vulnerable ones didn’t believe the lies they are fed about the development of their child, e.g.: “its just a blood clot” or “its just a piece of tissue” then we most likely wouldn’t have so many women aborting, would we?
I posted about this story yesterday. MOST doctors? You’ve discussed this with MOST doctors? ‘Not medically relevant’? That sentence doesn’t even BEGIN to make sense! As Chris stated in the above post, MOST doctors explain EVERYTHING about a procedure and/or a medical condition with their patients. Doctors are not usually in the habit of ‘withholding’ information from their patients. I’ve been to enough doctors, and had enough surgeries/procedures to know what the doctor/patient relationship is like, thank you, Ms. Dobson!
BTW….she refers to ABORTIONISTS as ‘doctors’ (I don’t consider them ‘doctors’) and no, ABORTIONISTS don’t usually tell women that their baby has arms and legs, a beating heart, etc. I saw a documentary on HBO quite a few years ago about abortion and abortion clinics. A 14 year-old (yes, 14!) said to her mother (on camera)’I asked them if I could see the baby when they take it out of me, and they said (her emphasis here)there’s NOTHING TO SEE’. They tell women it’s a ‘blob of tissue’, they don’t discuss arms and legs,because if they DID, she might actually change her mind, and they wouldn’t get their MONEY.

Let us see if you are smarter than a fifth grader by answering a simple question.
A question which his ‘oneness’ said was above his paygrade, but a question that any fifth grader who has not been indoctrinated can easily answer correctly with no prompting without calling a friend or polling the audience.

I doubt a doctor facing a malpractice lawsuit would dare to use such a ridiculous excuse for not giving a patient thorough and accurate information. “Well, since they inquired about getting a spinal fusion, then obviously they already knew all about it. I didn’t want to insult their intelligence by actually explaining the procedure.” Doctors very frequently repeat information to patients that could be considered common knowledge.
Ever notice how the left (generally speaking, no offense to you lefty pro-lifers or lefties with intellectual integrity) is very supportive of all things scientific, except when it comes to abortion? Somehow stating basic biological facts suddenly becomes insulting and inflammatory.
