Quote of the Day 10-6-10
If I were the mother of a suffering child – I mean a deeply suffering child – I would be the first to want to put a pillow over its face.

Culture of death, exhibit A.
Infanticide. Nice. Real nice.
I have wondered over the last few years if we haven’t been “softened up” by the decades long promotion of euthanizing animals??
As a ‘deeply suffering’ person with an autism spectrum disorder, I am so glad my Mum didn’t love me in THAT kind of way…..
And I think we ARE being influenced by the idea that putting a sick animal to death is purely out of kindness to the animal. Perhaps it’s time to start admitting that the reason we’re taking sick old Kitty to be ‘put to sleep’ is not so much to ease Kitty’s suffering, but our own.
Now that’s another thing I would like some pro-aborts to comment on. They already advocate for killing babies with disabilities in the womb, so how killing a ready-to-be-born baby in the uterus and a newborn is different? What if a mother finds out her baby is severely disabled right at the end of the pregnancy? What would pro-choice do? Abort the baby before he/she is born, wait for the birth (just to see if doctors made a mistake) and then kill, or actually let the baby live?
The doctors told my mother the following when she went into labor (I was very premie): I was brain damaged, I would never walk, I would never read, I might never speak.
HELLO!
What Virginia Ironside said, is absolutely horrific, and defies any common sense. You can see the other lady at the studio simply lost for words, and not surprising…. HOW do you reply to such unbelievable claims???
“Any good mother would (do this)”???? What is she on? Any good mother would love the child unconditionally, and however sad she was about the child’s suffering, she would do all she can to alleviate the pain, to make the child feel better, feel loved, cared for and safe. NOT to smother it with a pillow!!! This lady is delusional in my opinion…..
Plenty of proaborts on this site would no doubt agree with Ms. Ironside.
More than one has told me they would be in support of a mother killing her infant if that infant was not yet separated from the umbilical cord.
Ms. Ironside apparently doesn’t understand that smothering a child with a pillow is known as “homicide,” NOT “good mothering.”
I wonder if Ms Ironside had any children – and what do they think of this kind of “loving?”
It takes 2 to 2-1/2 minutes with the pillow to kill someone. What a monster, to make someone squirm and suffer like that for 2-1/2 minutes!
Any good mother, will find good palliative care to lessen the suffering of her child.
There are doctors specialized in pain management.
What ever happened to: “Where there’s life, there’s hope”?
I’d like to believe she has no children. Or, that like some old pro-choice senator, hasn’t been around a baby for fifty years. But even those flimsy excuses aren’t needed these days.
I’ve had depression for most of my life, which means that emotionally, I spent a lot of my childhood as a deeply suffering child. Very glad not to have been smothered, thanks.
