Quote of the Day 11-12-10
… [S]o much for the idea that throwing birth control at women is an effective “prevention” strategy. All it does is create a mindset where people are astonished that their sexual activity creates babies.
For millions of years, humans understood that sex causes babies. Only in our lifetime have we lost sight of that.
Only in our lifetime has the creation of a baby by sexual activity left the parents bewildered as to how such a thing could happen.
~Christina Dunigan, blogging on a mother who had 4 abortions in 3 years while using the Pill, RealChoice, November 11

We know that women can conceive while on the Pill and some of those women will choose to have an abortion.
What a lot people don’t know is that the Pill causes early abortions in the first weeks of pregnancy which the mother isn’t even aware she’s having. More info at:

Well said, Christina Dunigan, I totally agree.
Oh yeah, it’s true! I know of women who conceived ALL their children WHILE on the Pill… It’s not really as effective as they tell you. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pill manufacturers had a deal with abortion companies. They would make the Pill that has a good failure rate, so the abortionists would have a good profit, and at the same time the abortionists (“reproductive health centres”) would in turn advertise and sell the same Pill to post-abortive women “so that this sort of unplanned pregnancy wouldn’t happen again”… I would NOT be surprised AT ALL!
Great article. Note to Stacy:
Stop having sex until your man gives you a ring and a wedding. You deserve better. At only 22 years old, you are on your way to having ten or more abortions in your reproductive lifetime. That’s got to be very rough on your body. Not to mention that your body may not give you a baby when you feel you want to raise another one. I’m praying that you will do what is best for you. God bless.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD AND INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE POISED TO BEGET ‘CHEAPER THAN FREE’ BIRTH CONTROL, AND THAT SPELLS C-O-E-R-C-I-O-N
(excerpt)
Unless there is a loud outcry from the American people, all prescription birth control will very likely be listed as preventive health care under the Obama administration’s health care reform act by August of next year—leaving the taxpayers to foot the bill for billions more dollars that will flow into Planned Parenthood’s bottomless money pit to pay for deadly concoctions that are neither “preventive” nor “health care.” And, according to the philosophy of the leader of the Institute of Medicine, the non-governmental agency advising the government on this matter, it could result in health care incentives being given to those who use birth control—incentives that are not available to those who spurn it.

I was flipping through the channels today & there was a teen on the Tyra Banks show who has had 9 sex partners and contracted an STD from one of them. The question posed was that of “should this teen and others like her be forced to use birth control?” I think they’re missing the bigger picture looking into the underlying cause of why this 16 year old would seek to have unprotected sex with 9 different partners and be so indifferent to the negative impact an STD (or an unplanned pregnancy for that matter) could have on her health. While feminism has saught to liberate women from the consequences associated with sex, they’ve also failed to teach women self-respect for their bodies and minds.
Absolutely. I remember when Gloria Steinem wore a bunny costume and served drinks and she was so mad!!! Now look at things, the porn industry is a multibillion dollar international destroyer of lives. Did this empower women? Do women demonstrate self respect? Nope. And birth control like the Pill has had a big impact on the degradation of women and the devaluation of the human child.
