Pro-life blog buzz 10-9-12

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN and Kelli

We welcome your suggestions for additions to our Top Blogs (see tab on right side of home page)! Email Susie@jillstanek.com.

  • Newly added to our Top Sites, Cradle My Heart, a website and radio program dedicated to post-abortion healing, features a podcast interview with our own Jill Stanek. Jill describes her introduction to the horror of live birth abortions, what she learned as a result of that incident, and how it changed the course of her life. Please share with people who are still unaware of this issue and how Jill came to have personal firsthand knowledge of Barack Obama’s position and votes against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.

Investors.com headline: “Science over politics: Nobel for adult stem cell work”

When embryonic stem cell research was being hyped during the last decade, MSM would often omit the word “embryonic” when reporting on the issue. When talking of the hope for cures, they would make it seem as if conservatives opposed all forms of stem cell research by leaving out that one vital word.

Or, when reporting on successes of adult stem cell research, the media would omit the word “adult” to further confuse the issue.

There has been a sudden and welcome about-face. Get a load of this headline:

The editorial is even more incredible. Again, this comes from Investor’s Business Daily, certainly no social conservative stronghold. An excerpt:

Pro-life video of the day: MI businessman sues over HHS mandate

From the excerpt about this video, entitled, “In Good Conscience,” featured on YouTube: John Kennedy, CEO of Autocam (Grand Rapids, MI), is one of the brave business owners fighting back against the HHS Mandate. As a Catholic, the things mandated to be covered within the health care plans that John provides his associates are contrary […]

Obama, media, feminists push taxpayer-funded mustard gas for women

I don’t know what it’s going to take to get people to comprehend that hormonal contraceptives – i.e., the birth control pill, implants, and rings – are rated by the United Nations World Health Organization as Group 1 Carcinogens,” as toxic and in the same class as asbestos, mustard gas, and tobacco.

IT IS A SCANDAL that President Obama, feminists, the media, and the medical establishment continue to push these virulent cancer causing artificial steroids on our women.

Not once in this October 4 puff piece promoting free contraceptives did the Associated Press author or any of the medical professionals interviewed bring up any of the deadly harms of hormonal contraceptives.

Anti-woman, anti-child: Pregnancy discrimination on the rise

But let’s be honest. [Yahoo CEO] Marissa Mayer is an exception to a slow-changing rule. In a New York Times Op-Ed urging the passage of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, author Alissa Quart writes that women still fear pregnancy discrimination. “For the rich and powerful, pregnancy might not be an obstacle – it might even […]

The Catholic Association has released a great “Religious Freedom Voter Guide,” available online with or without TCA’S logo, in case you want to insert your own organization’s logo, and also available without the thumbs and grades if you want to distribute the flyer in your church. For those pdfs email info@thecatholicassociatoin.org.

TCA will also ship flyers to you free, in any amount. It has shipped 1.1 million so far.

FRC Action is also making available for printing its 2012 Values Voter Presidential Voter Guide, which is acceptable for distribution in churches….

National Pro-Life Cupcake Day tomorrow!

National Pro-Life Cupcake Day, what a sweet idea. From the group’s website:

Graphic signs anger pro-abortion pastors, parishioners

I’m always intrigued by the responses pro-lifers get for showing graphic photos of aborted babies in front of pro-abortion churches on Sunday mornings. I hope these protests continue and expand. Parishioners may not understand, but pro-lifers are trying to help them. Their worship services are repugnant to God. Just read Isaiah 1:10-17.

In September World Life Organization’s Todd Bullis and Andy Moore and their team stood for the 11th and 12th time in front of the Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. I’m always impressed by the wise, Godly words they have ready to offer.
