National Pro-Life Cupcake Day, what a sweet idea. From the group’s website:

[W]e want to help others realize not every child has the chance to have a birthday because of abortion, and that we care about them. We thought these children’s lives should be remembered, so we picked October 9th as a national day to recognize them and raise awareness about the issue of abortion and the impact it is having.

By using cupcakes we are able to reach out to the general public in a warm, non-confrontational way and use it as a segue to raise awareness, start conversation, and potentially educate individuals about issues that would ordinarily be suppressed to silence.

Here’s their promo video, so light and encouraging…

There are so many imaginative ways to reach people on the fence or on the other side. This is a great idea.

This FAQ may or may not have been meant to be funny, but I got a little laugh out of it…

Good answer:

This has never happened. We have actually had very little opposition to this style of presenting the issue. However, if it does happen clean yourself up and remember what you are standing up for: babies who never get to have a birthday. Be gentle with those that oppose you; they need to be loved, too.

As pro-lifers we care about the pre-born but also those who have been born. So treat everyone with gentleness and respect, especially in the face of opposition. Go with courage and go with love; the unborn need you to be their voice.
