We already know Hollywood puts unrealistic expectations on mothers, expecting their bodies to bounce back as if they never bore children.
Case in point: Kourtney Kardashian’s ”adoring” boyfriend, Scott Disick recently dissed her for not lose her baby weight fast enough after her last pregnancy.

For the record, if Kourtney is 5′ tall, Scott’s ideal of 93 pounds for her would be considered underweight.

Eh the show is scripted. She’s got the ability to tell Scott to take a hike anytime and I’m sure they threw that in for shock value.
I know it’s scripted (What ‘reality’ show isn’t?), but it would appear that NONE of the Kardashian girls have very high self-esteem.
This guy is your classic narcissistic turd. I saw it in his violent behavior, self centeredness, and now his treatment of Kourtney. You will often see these guys trying to turn their girlfriends and wives into Barbie dolls, and express disappointment in a pregnancy or a woman’s post pregnancy body because she has “lost” her figure. The “little woman” must always put him first and foremost.
Being she has his children, she’s stuck. She’ll never unload him. Even if she were to be involved with or marry another man he would make her life a living hell, and use the children as a means of control and manipulation.

Mary lol…i used to watch the show and i don’t enjoy it anymore. Courtney wants kids but not marriage. Kim now twice married and divorced is pregnant …and always going on about her high moral standards. Courtney n Lamar just started to bore me. One min. she wants a baby then she doesn’t ..they even scripted an abortion in for Chloe…i remember well. She was never pregnant but pretended she had been adding..don’t judge me for my choice. Mom and dad are always fighting. sigh and now the 2 youngest girls are getting work. Hear mom is soon getting her own talk show…enough already !
Pamela i agree with you..I. was only saying that I believe Scott has always been okay with being the black sheep anyways so producers probably asked him if he would just ask Courtney to lose weight. Courtney works out and looked just fine after Mason. Proof to pregnant women you can get into a bikini after baby if you wish. The Kardashians have always expressed being fine with their curves and they don’t seem to be insecure to me. They are all good looking girls.If i would give them any advice it would be stop messing with your faces..( plastic surgery )kim is beginning to look like a duck. Anyways Courtney won’t ever leave Scott and i just believe it to be totally scripted again to get people talking again…And it worked.:)

Even though they aren’t married, this underlines the truth that wife and mother are two separate roles which are often in conflict. An ocean of ink has been spilled about the conflict for women between family and paid labor market work in jobs or “careers.” It is often overlooked that the role of wife and the role of mother can conflict with each other. A woman can be a good wife and a poor mother and vice versa. Losing one’s “figure” due to pregnancy can turn the husband off but is necessary to become a birthmother.
