Sunday Word: “The rider’s name was Death. Hell followed him.”

I looked, and there was a pale horse, and its rider’s name was Death. Hell followed him. ~ Revelation 6:8, God’s Word translation There is no such thing as soul annihilation. We are going one place or the other, and we will be wide awake. ~ Beth Moore, speaking about this passage in  “Here and […]

Stanek weekend question: When does “anti-choice bullying” cross the line, if ever?

UGAabortion030714

Let’s start this conversation by taking violence off the table. Both pro-lifers and abortion supporters agree that violence emanating from either side is wrong and committed by outliers.

Beyond that, where, if ever, can pro-lifers cross the line? The U.S. Supreme Court is currently considering the constitutionality of a Massachusetts buffer zone law, the decision of which will have implications across the country. Can a state or municipality erect an unseen red line of whatever distance it decides to keep pro-lifers from reaching out to mothers going into abortion clinics to kill their babies? The other side, of course, calls this harassment.

A couple days ago pro-choicer Robin Marty (by now a friend, in actuality) took me on for outing Minnesota businesses that are supporting an abortion fundraiser:

So what will happen when the Abortion Insurance Opt-Out law takes effect on March 14? The sun will rise and Michigan will join 23 other states that have opted out of abortion being a standard part in health care policies offered through the national health care exchanges. Michigan will also join nine other states that have opted out of abortion as a standard part of private health care plans.

Pro-life vid of day: MSNBC meets “rebels of anti-abortion movement”

2014-03-14_1229by Laura Loo

Last week MSNBC reporter Irin Carmon paid a visit on behalf of the Melissa Harris-Perry show to “the rebels of the anti-abortion movement,” Abolish Human Abortion, members of which were protesting outside a high school in Norman, Oklahoma.

Carmon reported in a written piece:

Supermodel wants children whether or not she’s married

I do want to have children, whether I have a man or not…. I will have it on my own. ~ Supermodel Naomi Campbell, insisting that fatherhood is optional for her future children, E! Online, March 12. More backstory from E!: In September 2008, during a London Fashion Week fund-raiser for the White Ribbon Alliance, the […]

Abortion fundraiser lists sponsors without their knowledge

bowlathonheader

UPDATE 6:20p: Awesome! Another supposed backer of this abortion bowl-a-thon has responded that he had no knowledge and wants out. I wonder how many ever really knew?

5:16p: The 21 annual Pro-Choice Resources Bowl-A-Thon is undergoing scrutiny as never before, and the findings are revealing – particularly to sponsors who never signed up to support this abortion group’s fundraiser.
