Pro-lifer kidnaps a pregnant woman in abortion play

keelyandduby Carder

Keely is a pregnant woman, kidnapped outside an abortion clinic and secreted away to a place where she is to be a prisoner until her unwanted child is born.

Du is the nurse who watches over Keely — for a number of reasons that become more disturbingly clear as time goes on.

~ Tulsa World, announcing the performance of the abortion play Keely and Du at the Tulsa Community College Theatre Department, April 5

Note: This “abortion battle” play has been circulating since the early 1990’s. Read a 1994 review from the New York Times here.

Easter Word: “I have seen the Lord!”

mary-magdalene-tomb

Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying.

As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. “Woman,” he said, “why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.””

Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

  • Right to Life of Michigan says Michigan abortionist Alberto Hodari, who is now retired and no longer licensed, “unlawfully left thousands of patient files unattended at [his] former abortion clinic in Flint.”
  • Pro-Life NZ believes New Zealand’s population decline can be attributed to the country’s legalized abortion rate:

New Zealand is experiencing a demographic decline, which is a real problem confronting governments in Asia, Russia and Europe; an aging population and too few babies born to support them in the future.

  • Wesley J. Smith recalls the agonizing death of Terri Schindler Schiavo ten years ago. Terri was not in the process of dying naturally when her nutrition and hydration were removed, and Smith takes issue with those who try to say her death was peaceful, not painful.
  • At Stand True, Bryan Kemper also recalls Terri Schiavo’s death and the wide range of people affected by her plight:

I talked to many of the behind-the-scenes media people who were obviously shaken by this tragedy. I saw people from all different walks of life and political and religious backgrounds taking a stand. There were many non-Christian people there in support of Terri, and dozens of handicapped people from a group called Not Dead Yet. I even spent time in prayer with the Rev. Jesse Jackson as he came to help the family and speak out for Terri. I never in a million years would have believed that I would sit in a room praying with Randall Terry, Jesse Jackson and Sean Hannity.

  • Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life reports that a bill is once again being introduced to prohibit taxpayer-funded abortions. After a similar bill passed in 2011, it was vetoed by Governor Mark Dayton:

After 18 years of taxpayer-funded abortions, Minnesotans have funded more than 69,000 abortions at a cost of $21.5 million, according to a just-released report from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). Taxpayer-funded abortions numbered almost 3,400 in Minnesota in 2013; nearly all of those abortions were elective….

Polls continue to show that most Minnesotans and most Americans are opposed to taxpayer funded abortions, yet they continue to be forced to pay for them.

  • ProLifeBlogs links to Operation Rescue’s report on an ambulance call – the second one this year – to Family Planning Associates in Bakersfield, California.
  • Secular Pro-Life continues their series on abortion clinic websites, this time exposing The Downtown Women’s Center in Portland, Oregon, which appears to claim abortion is so safe that there has not been a single death from this procedure since it was legalized in 1973:

Not a single death from abortion since it was legalized in 1973? That’s demonstrably false. Setting aside the deaths of the preborn, twelve women died from legal abortions in the U.S. in 2008 alone, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Perhaps Downtown Women’s Center’s ambiguous statement only meant to claim that there has never been a death due to legal abortion in Oregon. It didn’t take long for me to find one: Loretta Morton, a 16-year-old who died of an abortion-related pulmonary embolism in 1984. Although I’m unable to access her death certificate, she apparently died in Multnomah County, Oregon (which includes Portland). Several years later, her death was mentioned in a scholarly article in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Pro-life vid of the day: Sacrifice great and small

by Hans Johnson

3 crosses 31
Today hundreds of millions worldwide will commemorate the greatest sacrifice there ever was or ever could be. It’s a good day to reflect on what we are willing to give up for the lives of others.

Would we speak up on behalf of those in peril, at the cost of vilificatiion or arrest?

Would we give up our own dream of a lifetime? Donald Mazur of Olympia, Washington was two hours from the summit of Mt. Everest by the formidable north side, when he came across Lincoln Hall, a British climber with no gloves, hat, sleeping bag, or oxygen bottles – given up for dead by his party a day earlier. Passing hikers refused to stop and help, as had dozens who left another man to die days earlier – so reminiscent of certain storied Levites.

By the time the Sherpas they radioed for arrived, they were too exhausted to make the final assault. Mazur said, “We all looked at the summit and then returned. We all agreed there was no choice.” Adding, “You can always go back to the summit but you only have one life to live. If we had left the man to die, that would have always been on my mind… How could you live with yourself?”

In another example of self-sacrifice,

Ashley Bridges was not only willing to “give up Everest,” but her very life for that of her child Paisley, when she put off chemotherapy. CNN reports this story of one mother’s ultimate love and sacrifice:

Doctor: It is a “sacrifice” to do abortions instead of deliveries

by Carder

obstetricsDespite years of training and a passion for obstetrics, I decided to stop delivering babies so that I could provide abortions. I could no longer turn my back on the patients who need abortion care…

I still consider giving up obstetrics to be my biggest sacrifice to do this work. I was good at it and derived immense satisfaction from it.

The process of delivering a baby was a rush.

~ Dr. Nicole Fanarjian, explaining one of the reasons why she discontinued obstetrics in favor performing abortions regularly, as quoted by Think Progress, March 31

Pro-life vid of day: Protesters meet Jumbo Tron at U of FL

created-equal-pro-life-jumbotronby Kelli

Created Equal took their Jumbo Tron, displaying images of abortion victims, to the University of Florida campus on March 11. In their latest email, they describe what greeted them when they arrived:

The protesters had said their goal was to create a “safe space” for students, but their actions — such as forming a tunnel of shouting abortion advocates through which all students taking the main sidewalk had to pass — suggested otherwise. Nevertheless, their attempt to distract from our mission failed.

Frantic clapping and shouting cannot hide the bloody faces of victims. On the contrary, it often incites more curiosity in passersby. Students and media alike were drawn to the outreach site to see what was taking place. Some sympathetic to the protesters’ message told us they were embarrassed by their behavior, and we even received the following report from a traveling evangelist on site the same day as us:

Tonight I am praising God that the extreme rudeness and vulgarity displayed by pro-abortion protesters today at UF contributed to at least two young ladies turning to the Lord. . . . I wonder how many other people turned to Christ today simply because they didn’t want to be like the hateful pro-aborts. — Tom Short

Abortionist’s “relationship” with patients isn’t what people think

*Mar 15 - 00:05*by Kelli

We need to establish in the public mind that… in abortion, there is NO doctor/patient relationship. The doctor is a technician there to perform a procedure that was sold before he even showed up.

He has no more relationship with that patient than a AAA member has with the tow truck driver who shows up when her car breaks down 500 miles from home.
