TX GOP lawmaker hangs “Former Fetus” sign outside office

In honor of their visit, I put this sign up on my office door. Organizations that murder children are not welcome in my office. ~ Republican Texas state Rep. Jonathan Stickland, preempting visits from Planned Parenthood reps who might want to dissuade him from voting for a bill to place the abortion giant at the bottom of the […]

Abortion industry in crisis: Planned Parenthood seizes control of shrinking turf

Planned Parenthood abortion clinic monopolySince 2010, abortion proponents have acknowledged with increasing frequency and alarm that they think they are starting to lose. Two recent essays reveal new crises they are adding to their growing list:

GOP challenged for funding Komen while trying to defund Planned Parenthood

[L]ast February… the national Susan G. Komen Foundation initially announced it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, but then reinstated that funding within a few days…. We understand that your silent auction donations are intended for the Nebraska affiliate of Susan G. Komen which may not have any funding going to Planned Parenthood, but the fact […]

  • Secular Pro-Life spots an employment ad seeking an abortionist for an apparently “lucrative” position with American Women’s Services, which “operates sixteen abortion offices on the East Coast.” And doctors don’t even have to have GYN training – what luck!

Pro-life news brief 10-26-12

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat

  • Texas’ Women’s Health Program doesn’t need to fund abortion providers and their affiliates now that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has denied an appeal to reconsider their early decision. Planned Parenthood’s lawyers apparently can’t understand that no one is taking away their free speech rights if a state chooses not to fund abortion providers:

In a statement issued Thursday, Gov. Rick Perry said Texas will immediately “defund” the health organization’s affiliates. “Today’s ruling affirms yet again that in Texas the Women’s Health Program has no obligation to fund Planned Parenthood and other organizations that perform or promote abortion. In Texas we choose life, and we will immediately begin defunding all abortion affiliates to honor and uphold that choice.”

Strange sting by Planned Parenthood ally makes case for Texas defund

Another title for my post might be, “Andrea Grimes is no Lila Rose.”

Pro-abortion RH Reality Check reporter Andrea was horrified that her investigation of the Texas Women’s Health Program turned up “only” 13 – 13! – healthcare providers in the vicinity of Downtown Austin Planned Parenthood that will give pap smears to low income women.

Andrea was trying to make the case that the State of Texas’s court-upheld decision to exclude Planned Parenthood from its state Medicaid program will leave low income women in the lurch.

Andrea thinks having 13 healthcare providers available to fill the shoes of one Planned Parenthood is somehow deplorable.

Whose side is Andrea on again?

Abortion supporter: There is nothing, NOTHING to like about Paul Ryan

With so much focus on Ryan’s fiscal austerity (except when it comes to tax cuts for the rich), his extreme position on women’s reproductive rights has faded into the background. Like almost all House Republicans, he has voted in lockstep with his party to deny women access to safe abortion care, contraception, breast exams, and […]

“War on Women” 2.0: Obama attacks Romney on Planned Parenthood

The Obama campaign launched a television ad over the weekend attacking Mitt Romney for attacking Planned Parenthood.

Airing in seven battleground states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Nevada, North Carolina, and Virginia), the ad manages in 30 seconds to hit Romney on several liberal reproductive talking points.

The well-crafted piece starts with a pitchwoman assailing Romney for opposing contraceptives. One must read over what she is saying (see above right) to know the complaint is actually about Romney’s opposition to the Obamacare contraception mandate.
