  • Wesley J. Smith says the French are trying to bring euthanasia in gradually, by first offering to sedate terminally ill patients until death. Smith discusses the difference between palliative and terminal sedation, and explains why terminal sedation is not so humane:

That’s killing by slow motion because it involves putting a patient into a coma and depriving them of food and fluids so they dehydrate to death. Pushing terminal sedation is egregious for another reason: It confuses people as to whether the legitimate pain controlling technique – palliative sedation – is killing by another name.

  • At Bound4Life, Marisa Lengor Kwaning draws attention to the real war on women, which is happening on a global scale – from Boko Haram to gendercide:

Perhaps, unfortunately, we have gotten used to the fact that girls are going missing in huge numbers all around the world. Because the real war on women begins in the womb.

In India alone, one million girls are intentionally aborted each year because of their gender…. As a result, 50 million girls are missing in India today.

The lack of women has caused a drastic rise in sex trafficking and kidnapping of girls as brides to unwed men….

It would be flawed, however, to dismiss gendercide as an Asian or communist countries’ problem. From 1995-2005, fifteen hundred girls went missing among Indian communities in England and Wales. Topic experts agree that sex-selective abortions was the only viable explanation for this steep decline of girls….

And the issue persists today. It’s no wonder women and girls are kidnapped and attacked at alarming rates globally.

EXECUTION

You may have heard of the barbaric medieval practice of drawing and quartering, as described by historian William Harrison in 1557:

The greatest and most grievous punishment used in England for such as offend against the State is drawing from the prison to the place of execution upon an hurdle or sled, where they are hanged till they be half dead, and then taken down, and quartered alive; after that, their members and bowels are cut from their bodies, and thrown into a fire, provided near hand and within their own sight, even for the same purpose.

This is how Scottish leader William Wallace (played by Mel Gibson in Braveheart) was put to death.

And it pretty much describes a Dilatation and Evacuation abortion, wherein the abortionist reaches into the uterus blindly with forceps and starts grabbing and twisting off body parts of a living baby. Click to enlarge…

Would late actor Alec Guinness have survived legal abortion?

by Carder In 1914 Agnes Cuff, a flighty and unstable young woman with few prospects and little money found herself pregnant. The father didn’t want to be involved. She was alone, shamed, poor and pregnant. Today she would be encouraged to get herself to an abortion clinic and end the unwanted pregnancy. Instead a little […]

  • Abortion Pill Risks notes a disturbing recent case report which calls into question the safety of off-label use of RU-486 for abortion. The FDA relies on voluntary reporting of serious adverse events of the drug’s use:

A case report published in the July 2013 issue of Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology confirms the discovery of the first known global death case of “Fatal Clostridium septicum following medical termination of pregnancy.”…A number of different off-label or alternative medical abortion regimens have been recommended by providers in the United States. In the United States the FDA has issued public health advisories to warn health care professionals about the risks of sepsis and toxic shock in medical abortion and to reinforce use of the FDA approved regimen which does not include the vaginal use of misoprostol.

Real reason abortion providers oppose ultrasounds: 78% change minds

In Planned Parenthood’s world, allowing a woman to see an image of her baby on the ultrasound screen is a “dangerous agenda.” Many women who have abortions do not know the truth about fetal development…. The language of abortion counselors is often crafted carefully to avoid any reference to the baby. Even the term “fetus” […]

  • Culture Campaign reports on a new study from Yale University and City University of New York, which “shows that if the Republican Party abortion platform came to fruition and states could outlaw abortion, not only would the national abortion rate drop, but the rate among non-white Americans would drop the most.”

Some point to this and claim racism on the part of Republicans… but really, doesn’t this just prove the pro-life point that abortion is used as a eugenic weapon and disproportionately takes the lives of minorities?

  • In England, Sarah Catt has pled guilty to administering poison with intent to procure a miscarriage after buying misoprostol (the second drug used in RU-486 abortions) online and allegedly taking it within a week of her due date.
  • In Indiana, a woman has been arrested for helping to kill her grandchild and cover up her son’s crimes. Kacy Heath allegedly helped transport a 15-year-old girl to Granite City, Illinois for an abortion after her 21-year-old son impregnated the teen:

Heath… is accused of paying for the abortion and furnishing identification for the girl so she could have the abortion.

Police said [Heath’s son Steven] King was arrested in April for sexual misconduct with the girl and is held on bond in the Gibson County Jail.
