Pro-life blog buzz 6-23-15

by Kelli Abstinence Clearinghouse points out how the Boston Globe surprisingly admits that part of the nation’s abortion decline is likely due to “an ’empathy-driven reaction’ for all of the Americans that grew up in a world of vivid ultrasound images and miraculous neonatal medicine for preemies.” At Live Action News, Susan Michelle promotes the […]

“Abortion tutorial” videos popping up in Chile

by Carder Abortion may be entirely illegal in Chile, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways. Shocking mock, do-it-yourself abortion guides have popped up on YouTube as part of a disturbing public ad campaign in support of legalizing abortion in the predominantly Roman Catholic country in cases of rape or medical complications. In the “abortion […]

Would late actor Alec Guinness have survived legal abortion?

by Carder In 1914 Agnes Cuff, a flighty and unstable young woman with few prospects and little money found herself pregnant. The father didn’t want to be involved. She was alone, shamed, poor and pregnant. Today she would be encouraged to get herself to an abortion clinic and end the unwanted pregnancy. Instead a little […]

Radical pro-abortion group plans “dramatic” confrontations next week at pro-life events in four major cities

stop-patriarchy-ut-2Stop Patriarchy is a pro-abortion group led by Communist Sunsara Tayler that believes “revolution” and a “counteroffensive” are needed to “radically reset” what it correctly sees as escalating “attacks on abortion.”

One tactic of Stop Patriarchy is to engage in “confrontational, dramatic, non-violent” protests.

Because the “war on women… is getting worse,” Stop Patriarchy is upping its game, planning protests next week in Washington, D.C., Oakland and San Francisco, California, and Austin, Texas, in conjunction with annual pro-life marches and rallies….

Exactly who perpetrated the fatal abortion doesn’t seem to pique the interest of those who want to hang her death around her distant-relative-by-marriage’s neck.

What I find particularly fascinating is that amid the obsession over Ann Keenan (obsession likely to arise again should [Mitt] Romney aim again for the White House) there is a blithe obliviousness of “safe and legal” abortion deaths.

Planned Parenthood praises deceased actress Polly Bergen

by Carder Sad to hear of the passing of Polly Bergen – an unforgettable talent and a beloved friend of Planned Parenthood. ~ Planned Parenthood’s Twitter feed on the death of post-abortive singer/actress Polly Bergen. According to Yahoo! TV, her publicist, Judy Katz, announced that “in lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be […]

During the last week of May abortion proponent Dawn Porter and members of the National Network of Abortion Funds traversed southern Texas and upper Mexico to film footage for an upcoming documentary, Trapped.

Trapped will “look at the impact of Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws in the southern United States, and their disproportionate effect on women living in poverty.”

There are currently no abortion clinics in the Rio Grande Valley, which borders Mexico. The nearest one in the U.S. is 230 miles north in San Antonio.

The group filmed themselves crossing the border to buy Misoprostol, an ulcer drug that is used off-label to induce abortions.

Misoprostol is available only by prescription in the U.S. and can only be dispensed by doctors for abortions. But it can be purchased over-the-counter in Mexico.

After the purchase, NNAF tweeted photos, along with instructions on how to use Misoprostol illegally to self-induce an abortion…

Manager of closed abortion clinic complains about “lack of gratitude”

by Kelli One of four remaining clinics that provide abortions in Kansas has closed amid a hostile political climate and financial challenges. Its outgoing manager said Monday the decision was also prompted by a “lack of gratitude” from a young generation of women who take its abortion services for granted. ~ The Wichita Eagle, July […]
