  • Secular Pro-Life spots an employment ad seeking an abortionist for an apparently “lucrative” position with American Women’s Services, which “operates sixteen abortion offices on the East Coast.” And doctors don’t even have to have GYN training – what luck!

  • Reflections of a Paralytic comments on “the petty concerns of American feminists” compared to the concerns of women in other countries:

It’s bad enough that women to want to deny their femininity in the first place by suppressing their fertility and killing their unborn children, but to insist that the public must pay for these things otherwise it’s some kind of violation of our “rights” is, quite frankly, embarrassing to me as a fellow American woman and insulting to women who really are victims of oppressive and inhumane regimes.

If American feminists want to make a big deal about anything “oppressive” in our country, they should really be focusing their attention to our pornified culture and its sexualization of young girls.

  • Moral Outcry wonders why no one raised the issue of the enormous costs of abortion in the first Presidential Debate of 2012:

As a classroom teacher for many years who made anywhere from $27,500 to $40,000, (so let’s average that to $33,750, which is actually very low for a teacher average nationwide, but not too far from starting salaries) I’d like to propose that if we cut Planned Parenthoodfunding for a year we could pay a year’s starting salary to 10,761 new teachers.

  • Pro-Life Action League links to President Obama’s new campaign ad in which he claims to be a defender of religious liberty. With the next wave of nationwide Stand Up for Religious Freedom rallies coming on October 20, surely he realizes how vulnerable he is on this issue due to his HHS contraceptive mandate. Just after 2:00 in the video, he says he stands “on the side of human dignity and a belief in the inherent worth of all human beings,” yet only applies these statements to “education, poverty, and immigration”:

  • Wesley J. Smith notes that the Democratic Party’s abortion platform is extreme, even for the majority of Democrats:

While solid majorities of Democrats back some limitations on abortion — 59 percent would ban partial-birth abortions, for example, and 60 percent endorse a mandatory waiting period — the official position of their party is that even common-sense restrictions are unthinkable….

If Obamacare remains in effect, eventually Congress will revoke the abortion restrictions currently in the law. Then, we’ll see a “Free Abortion Rule,” patterned after the Free Birth Control Rule.

  • Pro-Life in TN applauds the closing of the Volunteer Women’s Medical Clinic in Knoxville – evidence of the impact of incremental pro-life laws at the state level. The Life Defense Act of 2012, which went into effect in Tennessee on July 1, stipulates that abortionists must have admitting privileges at a local hospital for the safety of patients. Since many abortionists drive or fly in from another state for the day to perform abortions and offer no follow-up with patients, causing them to seek any post-abortion care at an ER.

The clinic director penned a revealing farewell letter, showing how vital their abortion revenue stream was.

  • University of MI Students for Life reflects on a sad day in America on August 1, when the HHS mandate went into effect mandating violating our consciences:

Today, the religious liberties of all Americans have been thrown in the trash. And it’s the same trash can where the 3,300 precious babies that will be legally aborted today will be thrown.

  • Stand True reports the Melinda Gates Family Planning Summit tried to eject Wendy Wright, who was there representing C-FAM, when she was recognized by abortion proponents:

Attendance at the conference has been tightly controlled. Only supporting governments and organizations have been allowed into the event. All non-governmental attendees had to be approved by the International Planned Parenthood Federation, which has been organizing “civil society” participation. IPPF has refused admittance to any group that is critical of the Gates family planning initiative which intends to raise $6 billion to target poor women for population control programs.
