by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat Senate Democrats are still opposing human trafficking legislation unless it includes abortion funding. Here’s some dreadful advice from Dear Abby to a teen girl worried her father will forced her into an abortion – Go to Planned Parenthood: You must also be sure to have the best prenatal […]

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli At Suzy B, SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser compares two female leaders – Rep. Renee Ellmers and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina – and how they responded to the life issue recently. One showed courage and one had what some are calling “the […]

Planned Parenthood’s new annual report: Abortions up, gov’t funding up

Planned Parenthood Federation of America has released it 2011-2012 annual report, and the numbers aren’t pretty.

The actual reporting period was October 2010 through September 2011. During this time Planned Parenthood murdered 333,964 babies.

Coincidentally, when I checked the census of U.S. cities to provide perspective, the one with the population closest to the number of babies PP killed is Aurora, Colorado, where a gunman massacred 12 people in a movie theater last July.

Aurora’s population is 332,354. In one year’s time Planned Parenthood massacred as many people as who live in this 56th most populated city in America.

This brings the total number of babies Planned Parenthood has killed since it began keeping records to almost 6 million: 5,983,022, to be exact – 2/3 of the population of New York City, and over two times the population of Chicago.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood received a record amount of tax dollars: $542.4 million, up from $538.5 mil in 2010-11 and $487.4 mil in 2009-2010. Forty-five percent – almost half of PP’s income – now comes from you and me. Click to enlarge….

  • ProLifeBlogs has a Wisconsin Right to Life post on the Obama campaign’s dishonest phone calls to Catholic voters in an attempt to get them to believe Obama doesn’t support abortion and that Planned Parenthood is really about “children get[ting] health care and prenatal care.” After promoting abortion ad nauseum to the American public via the Democratic National Convention, this is incredible. But could it be an indicator that abortion isn’t as winning an issue as they expected?

  • Secular Pro-Life shares the story of one reader who chose open adoption for her baby girl – no thanks to Planned Parenthood:

I was expecting a physical exam and some pamphlets discussing my options. I was wrong. The woman at the desk told me that unless I wanted to terminate, there was little they would do for me. With my insurance, I could be “rid of my problem” for $8 by noon the next day. I told her I was not there for an abortion, just prenatal care. She told me prenatal care was not offered at the clinic; I would need to go to a regular clinic. The young woman instead found the adoption option presented to her at a local Birthright pregnancy resource center.

  • In Pennsylvania, a 14-year-old boy has been found guilty for killing his father’s fiancee and her unborn child when he was 11:

Lawrence County Judge John Hodge found the now-14-year-old Jordan Brown delinquent, the juvenile court equivalent of a guilty verdict, in the deaths of 26-year-old Kenzie Houk and her unborn child.

Stanek weekend question II: Do you know if your ob/gyn is pro-life?

Do you know if your ob/gyn is pro-life? Does it matter? Reader Dawn suggested this weekend question, writing: Why would a woman take her prenatal care needs to an abortionist? We need to identify every single OB/GYN who either performs abortions or refers for abortions, to warn happily pregnant women about them.  Would a doctor […]

“The newest in creepy from crisis pregnancy centers”: Eek, women’s health clinics!

There’s another strategy that’s gotten less attention: an under-the-radar campaign by large anti-choice organizations, like the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates and Focus on the Family, to fund and guide the conversion of CPCs into licensed, limited-service medical clinics, ramping up their services to include pregnancy tests and ultrasound. Although they offer only […]
