The photo above, via Cosmopolitan on January 23, shows progress on building an 8,000 sq. ft Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in New Orleans has obviously stalled.

Compare it to the photo taken by Louisiana Coalition for Life in August 2014 (click all photos to enlarge)….

Texas’s border-crossing abortion coyotes

SINTESIS-MEXICO- MEXICO-US BORDERIn the span of two years, the number of abortion clinics in Texas has dropped from 44 to 17, with the possibility of another drop to seven, pending a 5th Circuit panel’s decision on whether the state can impose clinic regulations on abortion clinics and force abortionists to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals.

Stanek wkend Q: Is San Antonio’s new mega-abortion center the pro-life movement’s fault?

sanantonioIn response to my October 21 post, “Pro-life activists infiltrate Planned Parenthood mega-abortion center under construction,” Abolish Human Abortion has written a “we told you so”:

We are not bragging about this or simply saying we told you so. But the fact of the matter is this, these big state of the art killing centers that Planned Parenthood is building all over the country are the unintentional (yet iniquitous) fruit of the pro-life movement.

Pro-life stand-off at The Alamo

On the heels of showing the reality of abortion last week on a huge, video-streaming JumboTron at the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia - where the term “created equal” was penned by our Founding Fathers - pro-life group Created Equal was blocked in San Antonio yesterday from erecting the same display at the Alamo.

This was a clear violation of Created Equal’s constitutional right to free speech – content based discrimination.

At the last minute City officials claimed Created Equal’s JumboTron violated city code regarding digital signs, but the city had previously approved jumbotrons for a Floyd Mayweather boxing event (kudos to ksat for pointing that out to the city) and a Glenn Beck Tea Party rally (starts at 1:26).

Furthermore, Created Equal had followed the letter of the law and city ordinances in preparing to show images of abortion victims at the Alamo. I will detail the chain of events below, but here is video laying out the drama yesterday:

The location of Planned Parenthood’s new mega-abortion clinic in San Antonio, Texas, was kept a closely guarded secret until October 11, when Planned Parenthood of South Texas CEO Jeffrey Hons gave a reporter from San Antonio Express-News a tour of the facility, now in the latter stages of construction.

The existing 22,000 sq ft building, located at 2140 Babcock Road, is being renovated at a projected cost of $6.5 million, up from $5 million just 7 months ago. Love those overruns.

Yesterday, pro-life activists from Created Equal and Love of Truth Ministries were able to enter the two-story building, around which there were no “No Trespassing” signs or fence, to conduct their own inspection, with video camera in hand. Here’s what they saw…

Blame Planned Parenthood for dearth of Texas abortion clinics today

Abortion Texas cut by 2/3 with Planned Parenthood abortion clinic monopoly

Yesterday there were 21 abortion clinics in Texas, today there are eight.

Thanks to a federal Fifth Circuit Court ruling that allows the state to immediately begin enforcing part of a pro-life law that had been enjoined by a judge in April, the unshackled statute forces abortion clinics to meet the same physical requirements as other ambulatory surgical treatment centers. It also requires that abortionists have admitting privileges within 30 miles of a clinic.

No surprise, when the decision came down late yesterday afternoon the abortion lobby proclaimed an apocalypse. Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards tweeted:

If Planned Parenthood collapses, so does the abortion industry, Part 1

Planned Parenthood abortion clinic industry coming collapse?Had Planned Parenthood gone under in 1986, the abortion industry would hardly have noticed. At the time Planned Parenthood was committing only 6.2% of all U.S. abortions.

That was then.

With a total of 342 abortion clinics at last count (174 surgical/168 medical), Planned Parenthood now owns 46% of the remaining 751 abortion clinics in the U.S.

Planned Parenthood’s biggest abortion surge has been in the field of medical (RU-486) abortions. Planned Parenthood operates 90% of all U.S. medical abortion clinics, according to AbortionDocs.org. Here’s a chart from STOPP.org:

Abortion enthusiasts promote illegal abortions

During the last week of May abortion proponent Dawn Porter and members of the National Network of Abortion Funds traversed southern Texas and upper Mexico to film footage for an upcoming documentary, Trapped.

Trapped will “look at the impact of Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws in the southern United States, and their disproportionate effect on women living in poverty.”

There are currently no abortion clinics in the Rio Grande Valley, which borders Mexico. The nearest one in the U.S. is 230 miles north in San Antonio.

The group filmed themselves crossing the border to buy Misoprostol, an ulcer drug that is used off-label to induce abortions.

Misoprostol is available only by prescription in the U.S. and can only be dispensed by doctors for abortions. But it can be purchased over-the-counter in Mexico.

After the purchase, NNAF tweeted photos, along with instructions on how to use Misoprostol illegally to self-induce an abortion…
