AHA’s dangerous foray into cyberbullying

Screen Shot 2015-03-09 at 3.23.21 PM

I’m writing today about the latest development in the Abolish Human Abortion†saga, because I’m concerned†someone may end up dead if this doesn’t stop.

Everyone who spends time online has heard the term “cyberbullying.” Defined, it is:

… bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Electronic technology includes devices and equipment such as cell phones, computers, and tablets as well as communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites.

Examples of cyberbullying include mean text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social networking sites, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.

Particularly note,†”rumors… posted on social networking sites.”

Pro-life photo of the week: Abortion clinic bricks

Today’s photo of the week is by… me! I snapped the shot on a whim as I was reading one night last week and was a bit surprised at the interest it garnered on Twitter and Facebook after I†posted it on Instagram. The photo is a side shot my nightstand, on which I have three […]

March for Life expands direction

The-March650uphill-640x285 (1)

With attendance estimated to range between†200,000 to 500,000, the March for Life is the largest annual civil rights event in†the world.

NellieatpodiumFor 40 years, founder Nellie Gray, pictured right, dedicated herself to the March for Life. “The last call she made before she died was about the March,” new M4L president Jeanne Monahan told me in an interview. Jeanne was appointed to her position after Nellie passed away in August 2012.

Jeanne and her team are now exploring ways to expand on Nellie’s vision and to capitalize on the innate power M4L holds. With advances online, in texting, and social media, I’ve hoped for the day when M4L would tap into the strength of its vast yearly crowd of mostly young people to promote the sanctity of life year-round in a greater capacity. Jeanne agrees. “We want to make March for Life a year-round thing,” she quipped.

Using social media to save lives

Blue Facebook Logoby Lead Moderator Carla

I have been on Facebook for years and have added many pro-lifers to my friends list in an effort to stay current on pro-life issues. But I also try to educate the friends I have who do not know the truth about the abortion industry.

In at least four instances, I have been involved in helping stop forced abortions by simply responding to status updates or prayer requests on Facebook. These were women and teenage girls being coerced by boyfriends or parents. I responded with immediate practical help and advice to keep innocent lives from being destroyed. One of the ways I did this was to encourage them to contact The Center Against Forced Abortion, which is a project of The Justice Foundation.

Today, some Kermit Gosnell verdict reactions:

  • At Live Action News, Kristen Hatten questions whether people will “turn off the TV and think, ‘Well, that Gosnell guy was doing abortions the wrong way, but heís been caught. The system works, and most abortions arenít like that anyway.’ Are they going to snuggle down in their beds feeling like the one bad guy has been caught, and remain pro-choice?”

Eleventh 40 Days for Life launches today

40Today the 11th 40 Days for Life campaign kicks off.

I mention it because IMO 40 Days is one of the best things the pro-life movement has going.

At abortion clinics where 40 Days prayer warriors have maintained a presence, 6,749 documented lives have been saved, 76 abortion workers have left the industry, and 28 abortion clinics have closed (including one just 1-1/2 weeks ago) – all since 2004.
