Number of Planned Parenthood clinics down, number committing abortions up

2014-03-22_0506

[In 2013] Planned Parenthood Federation of America closed 48 clinics while opening 13, marking the eighth straight year of facility decline. PP is now reporting a total of 695 clinics, which is the lowest number of facilities reported since 1973.

Fifteen states have fewer Planned Parenthood facilities than reported last year, while only three have increased from last year’s totals….

Buffett Foundation hires architect of CA’s nonphysician abortion law

Tracy WeitzThe Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation has quietly hired Tracy Weitz, PhD, MPA, to head its domestic operation.

STBF is the charitable giving outlet for 83-yr-old Warren Buffett, the second richest man in the world, with a net worth of $63.4 billion.

Originally the Buffett Foundation, STBF was renamed by the billionaire in honor of his wife after she died in 2004.

STBF is currently ranked #14 in the Top 100 U.S. Foundations by Total Giving. STBF’s focus is population control. According to Buffett biographer Roger Lowenstein, Buffett has a “Malthusian dread that overpopulation [will] aggravate problems in all other areas – such as food, housing, even human survival.”

Planned Parenthood of Delaware abortionist ogled, slapped, played peek-a-boo with patients

2013-05-03_1344… And that’s not the worst of it. I didn’t have room in my title for the hymn abortionist Timothy Liveright sang to one patient during her abortion, “Jesus, Ohhhhh Jesus, take the sinners down the river, Ohhhh Jesus.” Seems to me that was meant as some sort of double entendre for the abortion he was committing. Gross on so many levels.

I spoke yesterday with RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, pictured above right, who worked at Planned Parenthood Delaware’s Dover and Wilmington clinics for 3-1/2 months in 2012. During that brief time Jayne saw a lot. And what she saw left her “dumbfounded.”

  • At Reproductive Research Audit, Dr. Jacqueline Harvey shows that a study which attempted to prove the safety of webcam “telemed” abortions actually shows a potentially greater risk to women:

Even if the authors could support the claim that tele-medicine (or “tele-med”) contributed to the modest reduction in late-term abortions, they still fail to note medical abortions have greater rates of complications than surgical abortions.

Planned Parenthood of Delaware halts abortions, is investigated after rash of 911 calls

Planned Parenthood of Delaware has suspended surgical abortions (although not medical) at the two of its three clinics that commit them, in Dover and Wilmington, following a spate of five emergency calls since January 4….

Kudos to 6ABC.com for breaking this story, which reported the Delaware Department of Health and the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline are now investigating.

Two former PP employees, both nurses, are blowing the whistle. Kudos to them as well:

  • A Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Pennsylvania has temporarily halted surgical abortions until they can comply with the state regulations for abortion clinics.
  • Three pro-life student groups have been recognized at universities in Australia. For some oh-so-tolerant pro-choicers, this could be dangerous:

The National Union of Students opposes the group, and president Donherra Walmsley said she would be watching closely to see if the movement continued to expand.

“Whether it will spread outside NSW is the next big question for us,” Ms Walmsley said.

“Students should be allowed freedom of expression, but our concern is, despite what they’ve said, these clubs do appear to be promoting an explicitly pro-life agenda.

Imagine that, a pro-life group promoting a pro-life agenda. The horror!
