Stanek wkend Q: So what if “I aborted my baby because it was a boy” story was a hoax?

shes_just_not_that_into_youThis week a horrific story was posted at injusticestories.com by “Lana,” who claimed she aborted her late-term baby after discovering he was a boy, because she has serious issues with men:

“It’s a boy”

“What?” I managed to sputter…. I started crying, weeping at the thought of what I was about to curse the world with….

Stanek weekend Q: Response to charge that pro-life laws cost money to defend?

1-16-15-Abortion-State-Lawsuit-Spending-blog

Were pro-abortion groups not to sue to block almost every pro-life law passed in the land, there would be no legal expense in defending them.

But pro-abortion groups have brazenly turned their own taxpayer squanderage into an attack against pro-life legislation….

You may have heard of the measles outbreak. Reported the Associated Press on January 30:

Stanek wkend Q: Will the House pass the 20-wk abortion ban this year?

mbn_foetus_200_280_55By now everyone knows what went down Thursday: GOP House leadership panicked and pulled the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, after promising the pro-life world they would pass it on the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision, the same day hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers were descending on Washington for the March for Life.

I’m told these same spineless, convictionless wimps are promising to introduce a retooled ban, but our people are now demanding a timeline, and they want the clock to start ticking SOON.

So what do you think? Will it happen? Also take the poll….

Stanek weekend Q: How will you mark the 42nd anniversary of Roe?

I have many plans for “Roe week,” beginning today when I pick my son-in-law Andy Moore up from the airport.

Stanek weekend Q: Agree on what is and isn’t needed for baby?

BuzzFeed has listed the results of a poll question to parents on the worthiness of 21 popular baby items.

As an old school mom and new school grandma, I found the opinions fascinating.

Today’s parents and I basically agree on what on the market is eye-rolling and what is helpful – some tried and true, some new. We only parted company on wipes warmers. I feel bad using cold wipes! And on Boogie Wipes. I like them, too.

Read through the list and lend your thoughts! Here are a few…

Stanek weekend Q #2: Why did the Vatican censor the Pope’s pro-life words?

tough-francis-hit-out-at-his-inner-circleFr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life has written a provocative blog post:

Something I wanted to bring to your attention is the address that Pope Francis gave on Christmas day at noon during his “Urbi et Orbi” (to the city and to the world) blessing. He mentioned the babies in the womb, and his exact words in that section of his address were as follows:

Stanek weekend Q #1: Predictions for abortion in 2015?

U.S.  News & World Report predicts “2014’s Republican wave will encourage lawmakers to consider more restrictions on abortion rights” in 2015, adding: The recent surge in abortion laws – more were enacted between 2011 and 2013 than in the previous decade - met both success and defeat in court challenges in 2014. That fight over women’s […]
