Photos from White House Pope visit
David Bereit of 40 Day for Life sent me 8 photos from the Pope’s outdoor reception at the White House South Lawn this morning. Pro-lifers will see familiar faces or connect familiar names with faces. Click to enlarge:

Where’s those nifty red shoes?
He’s hiding them from you, Doug!
:)
Surely you aren’t referring to George Bush and Dick Cheney, architects of an illegal war of aggression against a sovereign nation and subsequent military occupation which has killed as many as 1 million people by some estimates, and at least 4000 Americans, as “pro-life.” I question the pope’s judgement at being willing to be seen with them in a way that appears to condone these actions by not condemning them.
Ray,
The Pope has and did condemn the way the war was started. The Catholic Church, which means the Pope, is consistently against killing. There is very detailed criteria that defines a justifiable war in the Catholic Churches eyes. Google “catholic just war doctrine” and you can read all about it.
Jasper, I like the quote from PB16
Wonderful photos, Jill. Thanks to you and David Bereit as well.

That kinda sounded like what people in Jesus’ time were saying when He was seen with tax collectors, sinners..etc…
I wish Richard Dawkins would show up with PZ Myers, and then PZ Myers would be told to leave and people wouldn’t realize Richard Dawkins was there, because he showed his passport, which says Clinton Richard Dawkins, so people won’t know it’s him.
Then we can read all the blogs about it later, and it’ll be funny.

What a rascal! I saw those red shoes on the news though, so thank goodness for that.
