JLS MIA?
Many of you have noticed my posts began dwindling 2-3 weeks ago – finally down to nothing last week.
What’s going on?
Nothing dramatic, just good old-fashioned housecleaning and sprucing up for a bridal shower we held at our home for daughter Daena and new son-in-law Andy this past Saturday.
I hadn’t paid much attention to the house for several years, ever since I became involved in pro-life work. So I had a lot of catching up to do.
And once I got into it, one thing led to another, and I found myself doing things that had nothing to do with the shower but were good for the house anyway – like rearranging all my kitchen cabinets and weeding out old coats and jackets from the mudroom closet.
The shower went very well, and we went on to spend a wonderful 4-1/2 day weekend with Andy and Daena, who we hadn’t seen since they eloped.
So I’m back in the blogging saddle today, although I won’t be posting until tomorrow. I’m about 1,000 emails behind, oy.
Thanks for your patience! I’ve missed you all! And thanks to the Mods and Kelli for holding down the fort!

New sons-in-law named Andy are the best, and I’m totally not even biased at all in any way, shape, or form. :3
Congrats to your daughter, Jill!
I wanted to elope but my husband talked me out of it. I’m glad he did. We have memories with the family and I met many wonderful people for the first (and some, the last, sadly) time at my wedding. I knew no one but my mom and step dad! What a wild almost ten years it’s been. *raising glass* here’s to many, many, many years of happiness and strength and bonding to your daughter Daena and Andy. :) Is that a Kiwi I see? Is he from New Zealand??? Cool! If not… well then.. interesting bird! God bless all of ya!
Congratulations! The mods have been great at keeping me informed on what’s going on in the PLM. It will be great to have you back once things slow down for you. God Bless.
So glad you had a nice break, JLS!!
Congratulations on the new SIL!!
Oh wow! Congratulations!
Ahhh…I WONDERED where you went, Jill ;) Glad you’re back! :D
The cake is as adorable as the couple it’s for! ;)
We figured it was for something important, and it was! Congratulations all the way around! Many blessings!
Oh, the cake is just too cute!
Glad you’re back, Jill. Been missing you!
Hey Jill, welcome back to your own site! LL :D
Nice cake! Sugaaarrrr!
I was with Andy recently and asked him how married life was going and he said, “yuh, it has its perks..”
a bridal shower we held at our home for daughter Daena and new son-in-law Andy…
The groom/husband goes to the bridal shower? What’s next – the bride going to the bachelor party??!!
Looking good as a redhead, Jill. :)
All, thanks for kind words! Meghann, yes, that’s a kiwi bird, next to an eagle. Yes, Andy is from NZ.
Doug, yep, the groom attended the bridal shower. That happens a lot these days. Apparently you haven’t been a groom recently… :)
That’s RIGHT! Showers means PRESENTS. I was afraid her romantic elope-tion would mean she’d not get the celebration she was due or the presents that other newlyweds are blessed with as they start their life together. Glad to see that isn’t the case. Very good. All is right in the world.
Outstandingly useful appreciate it, I do believe your current readers would definitely want a good deal more well written articles of this nature maintain the good content.
