God was quoting Himself, here: Deuteronomy 6:4,5 ! This is called in Hebrew ha Shemach – EVERY JEW QUOTES THE FIRST HALF OF THIS EVERY DAY! Jesus pointed to the SECOND HALF, in order to BRING His SELECTED NATION back to Himself. We, Christians need to be aware of the Old Testament as much as we are the New Testament, because that’s what Jesus gave the Apostles to preach FROM. (It also has the STRONGEST argument against abortion that I have found)
He just can’t make it quick or you’d think you’re the Messiah or something, and get satanically proud. “Wait I say, wait on the Lord” King David.

To which argument are you referring? Is it the one which compensation must be given if the child is born prematurely if a pregnant woman is struck when two men are fighting?
