Stanek Sunday quote: “Love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother.”
For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother.
~ I John 3:11-12, New International Version
Do any pro-aborts respect this verse?
Jesus is what is missing from the conversation – not brainy arguments. We need the Man who repairs hearts.
The abortion problem is due to a lack of Christian evangelism.

Jill,
Thank you for repeatedly bringing this issue back to its core…it is about a lack of love. Abortion results from a lack of love, but unless we all go before the King of Love, Jesus, and remain there until we are full of HIM, nothing will change. It is for LIFE He came…to give real life (which, by the way, is eternal) to every human on the planet.
HE loves us all. Only He can empower those of us who want to prove our love for Him through obedience to Him (not obedience to a religion or to religious tenets). Only He can show us His way out of this moral abyss we find ourselves in.
Until then, I, like others who post here, will continue to seek His way with His love…it is the strongest power on earth…

Abortion is the result of a lack of love, agreed.
I fully embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior, because He is all good and all love. (Because I love Christ I love the Church he gave us, including all the flawed members such as myself. An institution founded by Jesus is just fine by me.)
I am so grateful for the life He gives me, most especially the gift Himself in the Eucharist (cf John 6)
The sermon at our parish today was on rooting out envy. Cain’s murderous act of fratricide was built on envy. I wonder how often envy enters into abortion decisions in this, on of the richest country on earth?

The profound truth from The Truth. Funny how easy it is to get caught up in the unimportant stuff and lose what it is all about.
