Inspired by the perennial New York Times bestseller of the same name and the first book in a series that has sold over 32 million copies worldwide, What to Expect When You’re Expecting is a hilarious and heartfelt big screen comedy about five couples whose intertwined lives are turned upside down by the challenges of impending parenthood.
~ Story summary of today’s (no doubt “loosely based”) release of What to Expect When You’re Expecting, May 18

I, for one, am not expecting much.
The movie is based off a pregnancy advice guide? How does that work?
This looks so awful – babies as problems, extensions of parents’ egos, or cute like pets, but no regard for them as individuals worthy of being treated with respect and care.
Some people swear by this book, others, like me, not so much. (It had TOO much information on what can go WRONG in a pregnancy.) I’m curious to see what the tone of this movie is.
A little humor can be a good thing in stressful situations.
Elizabeth Banks stars in this. Proabortion. Didn’t she make a “porn” movie?
