Stanek weekend question II: Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like…
Reading through your clever comments this morning prompted me to think of another weekend question, or rather a “complete this sentence”: Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like…
For instance:
Commenter Ninek: “… like blaming vegans for an e-coli outbreak at a shoddy meat processor.”
Commenter SM: “… like blaming folks who work to prevent the murder of toddlers for the murder of school-age children.
And my friend Bryan Kemper on Twitter…
blaming the #gosnell house of horrors on pro-lifers is like blaming the Vietnam war on hippies #prochoicelogic @StevenErtelt @JillStanek
— Bryan Kemper 🇺🇸 (@BryanKemper) April 17, 2013
Can you think of any other examples?

From @amyrpatton on Twitter: “Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like blaming PETA for a dog fighting ring.”
It’s like blaming gun control advocates for a massive school shooting.
Sounds to me like the patholgic defence mechanism known as PROJECTION.
Another good one from @amyrpatton on Twitter: “Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like blaming Greenpeace 4 Exxon Valdez oil spill”
According to Sigmund Freud, “projection” is a psychological defense mechanism whereby one “projects” undesirable or unacceptable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else. Planned Parenthood is indefencable and they know it and they cannot truthfully defend it, so the only thing they can do is find some way to blame others. Another example is Kathleen Sebelious blaming the States for not passing Obamacare, when in fact among other thing citizens do not want their tax dollars for abortion.
It is like blaming the lack of government funded contraception for causing Georgetown Law School’s female population to suffer financial hardship.
Blaming pro-lifers for the atrocities of Gosnell is a classic case of “blaming the messenger.”
Pro-lifers have been blowing the whistle on the abortion industry for years. Shoddy quacks who maim and kill women, covering up statutory rape, skirting parental consent laws, abetting in trafficking and illegal sex trade — and when these occasionally break into the light of day, the abortion industry blames pro-lifers for creating the environment that allows this to perpetrate.
The Grand Jury that investigated Gosnell blamed the decades of neglect and lack of oversight squarely on the pro-choice politics and policies of those who were supposed to be protecting the public. BOOM!
…is like blaming a completely adorable finger puppet for pointing a finger.
…is like blaming a frog for the fact that people eat froglegs.
…is like blaming the reduced Chinese female population on Chen.
Blaming pro-life people for the atrocities of Gosnell is like blaming conservatives for electing Obama.
…is like blaming African Americans for the creation of the KKK.
I just love ninek and her snappy quotes. This was great! And now hear this…pro lifers it is all our fault that abortion clinics are shoddy disease ridden with dirty equipment and hallways too narrow for paramedics to get to a dying woman. The abortionist won’t put money into the clinics because they just want to cram as many women as they can in for appointments. Get em in line em up suck em out and move them on. The abortionist needs a new Lexus or a trip to Hawaii. Those hard working deathscorts and nurses but this is our fault! Even after warning women not to go in there. Ridiculous
Oops sorry those nurses and deathscorts need employee bonuses!
Ohio abortionist Martin Ruddocks clinic has holes in the windows and potholes in the parking lot deeper than the ocean. You think he’d fix it up? Nah why? Gotta make that house payment.
It’s. like blaming a cop for your DUI
Is like blaming liquor laws for drunk driving accidents.
Blaming the death and butchering and abuse of women and babies by Gosnell is like blamining the kidnapping and deaths of innocent children, innocent men, innocent women, and the rape of innocent women, on Second Amendment – Right to Bear Arms supporters for supporting the right to protect oneself, one’s family, and the children, for actually supporting the right to own a firearm and know how to use it so that people, men, women, and children can defend themselves, or be defended, and therefore are not kidnapped, raped, and murdered.
Correction:
Blaming abortion opponents, pro-lifers, for the death and butchering and abuse of women and babies by Gosnell is like blamining the kidnapping and deaths of innocent children, innocent men, innocent women, and the rape of innocent women, on Second Amendment – Right to Bear Arms supporters for supporting the right to protect oneself, one’s family, and the children, for actually supporting the right to own a firearm and know how to use it so that people, men, women, and children can defend themselves, or be defended, and therefore are not kidnapped, raped, and murdered.
Wait a second, when I read the Signe Wilkinson comic I initially thought it made a good point about LIBERAL LAWMAKERS and PRO-CHOICE PARENTS, driving women into the arms of murderers. Most women just want some direction when they face a crisis, and when all they find are men who can’t give them any direction, they take up with a man who is more than willing to take them down a dead end road, because that appears to be the ONLY direction, or the ONLY ‘CHOICE’. She made one point well, but any one sympathising with abortion doctors must know it’s the same as sympathizing the the KKK or with any other group advocating murder and violence, and that includes the pro-‘choice,’ lobby. The term anti-abortion is supposed to have a negative connotation, (because it’s an ‘anti’), while the term anti-slavery is seen as positive by the mainstream. I would take it even one step further, as would most other women who have had an abortion, I am anti-‘Choice,’ because every one knows ‘choice,’ is where a women is told by the pro-‘choice’ activist when she has no-where to turn. That’s why the LIFE movement is about faith. One must believe that a baby IS a miracle and an opportunity, not a burden or a punishment, in crisis and chaos, one must have a trust in goodness.
Christians know this goodness is not an accident, or a product of relativism but is in fact the one true God, Author and Savior of life.
Stay Positive… think + LIFE.
that being said, blaming pro-lifers for the existence of any abortuary, is like blaming Christ for being hung on the cross, Christ who came to be blamed in the same ironic manner.
The cross, once a symbol of suffering, is the world-reknown ikon for freedom.
Redemptive suffering is something we can do to redeem those who purposely cause us to suffer. The earthly crown of thorns, a crown assigned to His chosen from heaven.
Blaming the atrocities of Gosnell on abortion opponents, pro-lifers, is like blaming Homeschooling for the bad grades that Public School kids get, and the failure of the education system, and the propaganda that is force fed the students.
Its like blaming your car mechanic for screwing up your pzza on a take out order. You forgot my green peppers!

thank you, Heather for the Martin Ruddocks comment.
Loving the comments today. My we are a creative bunch today.
No problem COA love your comments too. However Carharts mill looks worse.
I’ve met the lovely Ruddock many times. He loves to give me the finger. He hates one of the pastors in my group and told him 5x in one rant that he was such a p**** slang for female anatomy. wow yeah like Id trust that lunatic to put me under any anesthesia and suck the contents of my uterus out uh huh.
it’s like blaming fireman for the deaths of people killed in fires.
Hey guess what guys? I just picked up our local liberal paper and they are covering the Gosnell story. It said 14 babies born alive. Have yet to read the article.
It’s like blaming the Order of the Phoenix for the murders committed by Voldemort.
The article in the paper says that the female working with Gosnell saw the rise and fall of the babies chests. Gosnell would say ” They aren’t really breathing.” Shed then watch him snip the spinal cord. Enough was enough and she came forward. GOSNELLS lawyer is already trying to discredit her saying she’s only a medical assistant and so on. I had no idea this frog was 72 years old. Lets just hope he is convicted. If he doesn’t pay here he will pay in hell.
It’s like blaming the War of the Five Kings on the Starks. Lol.

They argued that abortion shoudl be legal so that it can be regulated and therefore safe. Once they got it legalized, they argue that the abortionists themselves can be relied upon to keep abortion safe.
Um… if abortionists were so inherently trustworthy, then why would you need legalization? Wouldn’t they have self-policed in the first place?

Lol. The sad part though is that someone actually tried to do that.

Oh my goodness I am laughing so hard at that link, Navi.
“”The government put the deer crossings there, they can direct the deer populations anywhere they want to by moving that deer crossing sign,” Donna said. Her request and solution is simple – move the signs to lower traffic areas.”
I really hope it’s secretly a joke, I fear for humanity.
Navi, I remember that one! That lady just didn’t get it. I laughed till my sides hurt the first time I heard that.

“Is like blaming your wife for the gonorrhea you got from a prostitute. “
Or blaming gonorhea for monogamy.
Its like blaming obesity on 2 Pepsis
Persoanlly I agree with her – they should move those deer crossing signs! But not because I got in a car accident but because at nearly every deer crossing sign I have passed I have seen black bears right afterwards. I think the bears know about the signs and wait around them in order to ambush the poor deers. These deer crossing signs just seem like a bad idea.
Thanks Jill this is great for laughs!
Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like…
…blaming the sun for your sunburn
…blaming the rain for getting you wet
…blaming McDonald’s for your obesity

True story: When I was out teaching my baby sister how to drive when she was sixteen in 1985 we came upon a deer crossing sign. Little sis says, “How do they (the deer) know that is where they are suppose to cross?” She was dead serious. I had failed my license on the first try but she got hers. Go figure.
Another one: A friend was driving his date to dinner when they crossed some rumble strips. His date asked, “What was that?” My friend said, “That warns that a stop sign is up ahead.” His date said, “Gosh. I wish my car could do that.”
Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like blaming Budweiser for your hangover. Come to think of it, I really should send Miller a thank you card for my first born! (:
It is like blaming pro-lifers for all the children who are in foster care.
I am surprised xalisae didn’t get in on this thread…she must be away. I am sure she would have posted some good comparisons.
It’s like blaming pro-lifers who “stigmatize” abortion for three kids dying in a fire due to neglect.
I requested prayers on a different thread a few days ago about my daughter’s classmate and friend. Turns out her mom locked her and her two brothers in a bedroom and went to work before the house caught fire. It’s all just terrible, and also confusing for those of us who wish we could have helped. And the story gets even more sad if you go back in time twenty years …

But it is sooo shameful that some commenters in this article call out us pro-lifers as causing the problem of “unwanted” children. Naya was loved by many of us. What a lazy and depraved solution.
A lot of great comments..wow!
Something struck me today. Notice that they are not addressing at all the fact that so many of those clincs in the greater Philly area don’t do abortions after about midway through the 2nd triester even though it’s leagl to do so? Maybe they don’t want to talk about why, or they don’t want to sound like they favor forcing doctors to do later abortions than they’re willing to do.
Wow, ya’ll are so witty and wise! I love these!
Blaming Pro-Lifers for Gosnell is like:
Blaming big game hunters for wild animal attacks.
Blaming the Temperance Movement for drunk driving deaths.
Blaming the CDC for AIDS.
Blaming Stephanie Meyer for The Grapes of Wrath.
Blaming Pro-Lifers for the pain and shame a post-abortive woman feels at having killed her child in an abortion.
LifeJoy that story you shared makes me angry. If children are unwanted and unloved it is not because they are unlovable or undesirable, it is because people refuse to love and desire them. Pro-abortionists tell people not to want or love their children by telling them they are burdens and they should abort them, then they whine about unwanted and unloved children. Abortionists are hypocritical profit-seeking haters.
Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like…
…blaming children for being unwanted and unloved.
“Blaming pro-lifers for Gosnell is like…
…blaming children for being unwanted and unloved.”
Thanks for this Victor, I think you won the thread.
Thanks Jack, where’s my trophy? :D
I think we all won. This is some awesome reading. I really need to copy and paste and all these on a Word document.
Unless anyone objects or something?
