Victoria Beckham feels working mother guilt
When you are successful, the hardest thing is maintaining that level of success, so you work harder to maintain what you have achieved…
It’s a huge juggling act, when you are a working mother and looking after your family. Millions and millions of women around the world are doing this every day, but it’s not easy and yes, you feel guilty every time you walk out of the door to go to work.
…I am not on an ego trip; empowering women and making them feel sexy and great when they wear my clothes means more than thousands of people clapping.
Empowering women is what makes me feel good.

Please! It’s not like she has to work to provide for her family. She can change at any time her fashion designing to a part-time hobby, not a full-time job. And if it doesn’t get more successful with each passing year, so what? That’s the price to pay by putting your family FIRST.
Also, daughter Harper is adorable – you just know who’s the idol in that family!

I am glad she is not saying that abortion empowers women. (It never can. It never will.)
How refreshing!! :)
Just because she doesnt have to work does not mean she should just stay home. It also does not mean she does not put her family first.
We should not fault working moms for working even if they don’t have to. Motherhood is the most important job, but it’s also not the only one for women. If she can do the work she wants to do but also prioritize her family then more power to her.
Yep, claiming that your fashion designing empowers women does is not an ego trip. Not at all. 9_9
I did a bit so searching around the web, to find some context.
I could not find any quotes by Victoria Beckham related to abortion or to pro-life.
She is frequently quoted concerning her devotion and care for working women and mothers. Today’s quote is consistent: Even as a former pop star, married to a celebrity sports star, and now as a successful fashion designer — She has to leave her 4 kids and go to work, and it’s no easier for her than it is for the rest of us.
So she designs her “sexy and great” clothes with real women and mothers in mind. I suppose that this sounds terribly superficial — but real women like to feel good in their clothes. It sure beats the hyper-sexualized, over-exposed style of many designers.
The win is Mrs. Beckham’s real and obvious devotion to her children.
I’m dazzled by her little girl’s cuteness!!
What were we talking about?
She was always my favorite Spice Girl. :3
Ugh, my above post should not have the word “does” in it. My bad.
I could never tell them apart or remember the names, except for “Sporty Spice”. I guess I think of Victoria as “Pouty Spice”. If she can balance work with family, more power to her.
Posh Spice.
I liked the Bangles and Bananarama – and the Go-Go-s better. Heck, to tell the truth, The Supremes were the girl group of my youth.
