I just want to post a comment before Ex-GOP does.
I’m voting for #3 this week.
Good morning Del!
Over 6 million added through the exchanges already. Health Care reform will continue to be tweaked, but it will be settled law for quite some time.
Now me personally, I’d like to see it thrown out and replaced with more universal care – from having ties into the healthcare industry, I’m not liking what I’m seeing about the future of employers covering employees insurance. Time to get that out for the good of people, and the good of our economy.
I do enjoy the short signed memory of Americans though. Delays in new health care implementations? What – nobody remembers 2006?
Expensive presidential vacations? Seriously? Hasn’t this been the longest running freak out by whomever isn’t in office? Come on people – do better.
Hi EGV! Do you ever make it down to Madison? We have three cigar bars in town, where guys and act like grown-ups together and buy each other brandy old-fashioneds.
I get to LaCrosse every year or so, on pilgrimage to the Shrine, usually with wife and friends. But if I get the motorcycle in shape, I can excuse a solo trip.
=============================
I still can’t figure out why Obama needed a motorcade of 50 vehicles to assist his visit with Pope Francis.
And AHCA is settled albatross, for sure. Bad policy all around — from the right, left, central and Catholic perspectives. But too late to complain now. The economic sea-anchor is hauling up. American businesses and families are measuring and absorbing the expenses and starting to carry on.
Del -
I’m actually heading to Madison in a couple of months. I’ve been in LaCrosse almost five years now – really like the area. You should come into town for Freedom Fest – big motorcycle ride each year for that.
I can’t figure out why any of these politicians need to spend the money they do. Heck, our guy is in Vegas right now courting donors for a possible GOP Presidential run. Does that help us in Wisconsin? The money part of politics disturbs me more and more.
The expenses of health care have risen for years – as it relates to reform, it has only temporarily slowed that rise. If we’re going to do something about costs, it will have to be something radical, which people don’t seen to have the stomach for. But I certainly wouldn’t pretend that rising costs are a new thing – I believe that the average family rate went up from $5Kish a year in 20080 to 12,500ish a year in 2008. I can get the numbers if you wish, but I’m guessing you remember.
Well, when the Nixons went to China…
Bwa ha ha ha!
More like freakSHOW. Three more seasons of the worst reality program about an amateur and his 2 sisterwives! See Valerie crash meetings where she’s neither welcome nor necessary! Watch Shelly spend obscene amounts of taxpayer money! Observe two teens who couldn’t care less!
I like #4, but writing Putin on the tie is redundant.
I’m getting tired of the bashing on the Obamas for having vacations. ALL presidents have had vacations, and yes tax dollars end up paying for their vacations in some way or another. Let’s try to focus on genuine issues with Obama’s presidency, not things common to all presidents and that aren’t even wrong.
In other news, my state (Oregon) has an “anti-religious discrimination” law coming on the ballot this year that’s modeled off the Arizona law, it’s almost identical. I thought I got away from that stuff by leaving the south, apparently I was wrong. I hope it fails.
LOL #1 has POOR in the title of the Little Sisters! They even take a vow of Poverty. Some strange idea of equality. Does not say much for some peoples’ education.
Hosea 4 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge
Isaiah 5:13 – Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge
I had to vote for the drone one. I’m on the WH email list, which is usually frustrating but these last few weeks it’s been quite amusing to see how frantic the message is becoming about signing up for an insurance plan with the ACA. I’m certainly not going to forward their pleas (which is typically the purpose of every email: please forward).
I’m getting tired of the bashing on the Obamas for having vacations.
I’m sure The Chinese leaders likes Michelle very, very much :)
I’m voting for #1.
President Obama should take notes from Pope Francis’s playbook.

President Obama should take notes from Pope Francis’s playbook.
If you mean the part about playing to a fawning press, then Obama is all over that.
If you mean that Obama should read that copy of Joy of the Gospel that Pope Francis gave him — Let us hope so!
Number 1 gets my vote especially as a prolifer.
Most of you probably know but some may not know that the Catholic Bishops pleaded with BHO to not put the birth control/abortion mandate in Obamacare and that they would work with him to achieve healthcare-for-all. He initially agreed, shook hands with Cardinal Dolan, said he would take care of it and would take that card off of the table. After the meeting, even CINO Biden told him not to go against the religious conscious of the Catholic church. Queen Valerie Jarrett and Princess Celeste Richards overruled both Dolan and Biden and decided they wanted to take down the Catholic Church because “abortion on demand, no restrictions, no apologies” must be the law of the land and then the liar-in-chief who had supposedly “cut a deal” with the bishops renigged.
You can’t cut a deal with the devil, he is “the father of lies”. Ask Jill, a man who would vote 4 times against BAIPA, stare you down as you testify before a legislative hearing about holding an innocent DS baby in your arms until he dies is a cold-blooded son-of-a-gun and cannot be trusted to change his allegiance to Dead Babies R Us. A leftist, radical, pro-death ideologue does not change his stripes, a rabid pro-abort is like a wild animal he will come back for the kill. I guarantee he has plans for PP to rule if they can get this law enforced the way they want it to. Please continue to pray Christian prolifers they have many more tricks up their sleeve before the elections in November 2014 and 2016.
