Politico: New pro-life regulations could help falling abortion numbers “fall even faster”
Priscilla Smith, a Yale Law professor and former attorney with the Center for Reproductive Rights, said…“they’re passing regulations that shut down abortion clinics.”…
The court battles are raging as fewer women than ever are seeking abortions since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalized the procedure. The abortion rate has reached its lowest point since then - and the new rules could help the numbers fall even faster.
~ Excerpt from Politico article, “Courts wrestle with wave of new state abortion laws,” January 8

The article is concerned about the need for a Supreme Court decision… one argument is that access to an abortion industry needs to be protected.
But any OB/GYN can do abortions for his patient, in his own office, providing adequate access to the procedure. I am not sure why we need to provide Americans free-standing clinics that insist on high-volume, high-profit, sub-standard care.
We are not even sure how few clinics are sufficient to satisfy the demand for abortion. Even with the closing of so many clinics around the country, the remaining clinics are not running at full capacity. Their abortion numbers are down, by all accounts. Planned Parenthood reports essentially no increase in their abortion numbers, even as their “market share” has dramatically increased.
Thank you Jesus. More Lord!
