I vote #1 just for the great look on the news anchor’s face.
No.3 is so true. The terrorists must be having the biggest laughs of their lives. What’s not so funny is that 6 Americans lost their lives, and others were injured, looking for this deserter that Obama traded 5 dangerous terrorist for.
I like the Ted Cruz one – but he is a crazy extremist – no ifs, ands, or buts.
I’ve got to vote for #1, because it honestly makes a good argument against mandatory voting. On the other hand, our current system got us Obama twice, so it’s kind of hard to imagine anything else being worse.
I like the phone in Kim’s hand, taking a selfie. I think it’s exactly that kind of mentality, “He’ll give us more stuff” that helped get BO elected the second time.
And I like the fact that Cruz is considered an extremist. Jesus was too.
But I voted for #3 because BO’s presidency has been hilarious; hilarious and so mournfully sad.
Hilarious because of how ridiculously incompetent he is.
Tragic because of the devastation his actions/inaction has caused.
Every week the stretch for these ‘funnies’ to make some sort of link to the truth gets bigger. The lack of connection to anything like reality makes these ‘funnies’ self-parodies.
At least with Voris we know he’s so off the planet we can just laugh.
Even an accused deserter is an American citizen with constitutional rights, and is entitled to a trial in our country’s courts and our military, not left in another country with terrorists when no one knows until he’s been found guilty in a court of our laws, if he joined them or not of his own volition.
I honestly believe that if a GOP president had gotten him released, Republicans would be shouting for due process for the guy and not judging the president for bringing an American citizen back to our country to face consequences.
Though I do believe that the evidence against him seems quite strong. He doesn’t sound like he was ever psychologically capable of deployment and might have been traumatized by his friend’s death and disillusioned. And I certainly think it’s possible he left of his own volition but was held captive anyway, terrorists do as they do.
Is the military man in #2 involved in Jade Helm?
Deluded,
Bergdahl was not entitled to the trade of 5 known terrorists in exchange for his release. THAT is what is ridiculous and sad about this story. It was as though Obama wanted to release those terrorists.
Bergdahl was entitled to a fair trial here, but sometimes it is the responsibility of those in authority to decide whether or not the standard & ideal procedure is realistic and reasonable. In this case, the Obama administration decided to endanger countless innocents by unleashing 5 men known to be dangerous in exchange for one disappeared soldier. It was the wrong decision. Even if Bowe Bergdahl had been forcibly removed from the camp, and a patriot all the way, it would still have been the wrong decision.

So your viewpoint is that, at the discretion of a president, a soldier under capture by another country should or should not be left there?
Just want to clarify.
